Ford Capri Group 5 – New Previews

Dmatzies and CK73 are working on bringing the Ford Capri Group 5 to rFactor, addding one of the most popular cars of the 80s to the simulation.

Built to the Group 5 regulations, the turbo-powered Capris raced other popular cars of that era, including the Porsch 935 and the BMW M1.

Below are new previews, showing the car sporting the Zakspeed Racing livery as driven by Manfred Winkelhock. The car’s exterior is pretty much done, including the very detailed engine bay, 4 of 9 liveries area already completed. Next up is the car’s cockpit as well as first in-game tests, you can enjoy the previews below until then.

    That brings me back. i watched those numerous times at Zolder and the nurburgring.
    Battling with the 935 and BMW320 Turbo.

    man that engine and al the parts and underside looks so good
    think i have to crash it to drive with the hood off ;

    can it be a upgrade to drive with or without hood? :happyevil: (joking!)

    Is it the Ingo WIP we see on rFactorcentral and gtr4u? If it is, i must say, slow progress. But, i’m sure it will equal our expectations :sd:

    If there was not a dmatzies and Co there would be no Capri at all
    as Ingo stopped with the Capri back then on gtr4
    I followed the project from the beginning and as i can read German (har har) I knew what was going on

    Well, its good to know this ain’t Ingo’s WIP, now i’m really looking forward on driving this sooner, hopefully. My respect goes to the mod team, lets just say a free mod is most appreciated.

    Man I cant even remember how many years it is ago
    VLM team showed the first screenie of a GR5 Capri

    so what is long waiting? im happy it comes finally
    TCL mod took 3 years and I waited for that one too lol
