    Finally! Thanks so much.

  • Michael Hornbuckle

This will make me reinstall rf2, can’t wait to try it!

  • noneofyourbusiness

    Thank you

  • The Turtle

    Woohoo….Crimmus come early!!

  • http://racingrenders.com/ F1Racer

Thanks to Enduracers for this early Xmas pressie. Looking fwd to trying it as soon as I’ve finished my 3 day gaming sabbatical 🙂

  • oldgrumpydave

    Goodbye Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday

    • Jetexocet

Just had an hour or so on this. Physics and looks are as good as anything I’ve experienced from ISI to date, and considering Rf2 sli support is still not up to par, and my frame rates are little iffy to say the least, it still hasn’t stopped my enjoyment. Testament to a great mod and a great team. Thank you

  • Patrik Marek

cool, will give this a try and see how it behaves/looks like , it did look very nice on the previews

    thank you!

is it also available through steam workshop? or just direct download? ( not that It would be a problem, but I really like workshop)

    • Patrik Marek

so I tried and it’s bit tail happy under breaking, is that expected ??

      • Michael Hornbuckle

Moving the brake bias forward (58% front) helped considerably for me. Still tricky, but you will have that when you hang the lump of motor over the back bumper.

      • D3

Yep, brake bias sussed it for me, can get pretty attacky going into the corners if I need to now.

      • Patrik Marek

yeah, engine in the back is never that great idea. actually the AC version of the 991 GTD does seem to be quite tail happy as well after the last Kunos update, but the physics is somewhat temp in that one, so I didn’t use it as guidance as to what it should behave like

      • Jetexocet

Try detaching arb and increasing front arb and increasing brake bias.

    • TC

You need to make heal&toe technique when braking or/and downshifting. Those cars don’t come with autoblip.

      • Patrik Marek

aaah, that could be it and it actually makes sense 🙂
will that work without a clutch though ?

    • Dean Doucette

I, too, am hoping it will be available from the Steam Workshop. I did download it from RD, but being a noob and because there was no Read Me installation instructions, I couldn’t install it properly. If anyone is willing to give some installation instructions, I would appreciate it.

      • Michael Hornbuckle

drop all three files (including the unzipped rar) into the packages folder. Enable the web in the menu thingy that pops up when you start the game.

      • Dean Doucette

        Thank-you, Michael.

      • Dean Doucette

I must have done something wrong because it didn’t work for me. It’s okay because I am really enjoying the 1991 Group C Mod.

      • Dean Doucette

Joined a multiplayer server and downloaded the Flat 6 Series that way. Great mod.

  • Jason Madigan

Links have generated too much traffic, any other links available as yet?

    • noroardanto

      Try RD

  • http://www.mikecantwell.com/ Mike Cantwell

    These and Bathurst….Yes 🙂

    • Jetexocet

Exact same combo I’ve been racing. Sim heaven.

    • Jockulation

They’re a bit of a crash fest at Lime Rock.

Out of a 25 car grid, only 4 finished the 20 lap race.

  • Kev

    Speechless…just speechless.

  • vcorp

any mirror? looks interesting this mod.

    • Marc CHAPELLE

other links are available on our website.

      • vcorp

        Yeah got it, thanks!!!

  • http://www.mikecantwell.com/ Mike Cantwell

    What track is pic 14?

  • Race Nut

I Tried these last night – great Mod for rF2. The handling, FFB and all the details are there, sounds are nice and tidy, good stuff!

  • http://batman-news.com Leeman

I’ve downloaded it but haven’t tried it yet. Rumor has it that the cars don’t respond well to hitting the kerbs (they barrel roll). Will have to try it for myself soon.

    • Michael Hornbuckle

You really shouldn’t use PRC as a source of ‘facts’.

      • http://batman-news.com Leeman

Well, Michael, that’s precisely why I used the term “Rumor”. I was, by no means, stating it as a fact.

That being said, I’ve since tried the mod on Mills Metro, Sebring and Mid Ohio (I believe Mid Ohio was one of the vids shown at PRC that showed the car rolling) and I didn’t experience any “barrel rolls” myself despite hitting several inside kerbs at speeds higher than you might during a normal race.

      • Michael Hornbuckle

Take it to Lime Rock; every lap is an adventure when you crest the hill because the AI are kinda clueless and slam the walls; still haven’t been upside down or even seen any of the AI flip one over yet.

      • The Turtle

I think they slam the walls because of the fast path of the AIW file of that track has these cars in particular(heavy rear 911) taking that turn over the crest a tad wide causing the rear tire to get in the grass instigating the slide that puts them in the fence on the right. Same thing happens to me if I follow the wide line the AI is following.

      • Michael Hornbuckle

Is that something that a modder can fix and upload to Steam Workshop?
Lime Rock is one of my favorite tracks, and I don’t even care that they are wiping out during practice because it makes every lap an adventure through there, but races are kind of pointless when the whole field destroys itself.

      • The Turtle

Yes it is. I used to fix aiw paths in RF1 and GSCE and it is quite easy and works the same way in RF2 except for the packaging system in RF2 has the aiw file packed away with the rest of the track files so it’s quite as simple.

Lime Rock is an ISI track so they would need to be the ones to update the aiw file but anyone that knows how can do it but it would be an issue with online play because the track would no longer be like the ISI version.

      • William Mazeo

PRC is so bad can’t be taken seriously even if just for a rumor 😀
        A disgrace to simracing

      • http://batman-news.com Leeman

They have a knack for cutting through the BS, which I can appreciate. And, right or wrong, I appreciate the depth, effort and research they put into their writing. I don’t find them to be any kind of “disgrace” at all. They seem like passionate sim racing fans to me, who aren’t beholden to anyone and aren’t afraid to speak their mind. There are sites that are a little too politically correct and are afraid to offer objective criticism of games.

But, as I indicated above, I take any story with a grain of salt, or two, and I prefer to reach my own conclusions. But, to each his own.

      • William Mazeo

To see someone writing all this about PRC either you are like him or part of the site. Any of the options are equally bad lol

      • http://batman-news.com Leeman

I’m not part of the site. I’m just a sim racing fan who likes to get his news from multiple sources.

        LOL

  • Bill Wester

Great mod, especially with such quality and vararity of skins.

  • Leynad

Wow, very nice Pors…eh,Darche and could be my favorite:) Very challenging to break this car even with more balance to the front. I like that and be surprised because breaking is IMHO very easy with other rF2-cars and much tougher even in pCars.

  • Jetexocet

I’m literally humbled by the quality of some free mods that are released for our pleasure. I have no idea how long this mod took to put together, but I can’t thank you enough for this release, it’s exceptional imo, and I’m enjoying every race with it.

  • Hash

Awesome mod, dont need my review to know that though, as been covered by so many, just wondering what the league version is, as is my understanding a “league edition” is a very strict BOP, however as all same car thought not necessary?

    • Matt Orr

This is a spec series, so it’s already a “league edition” mod in that sense.

    • Leynad

It´s the Porsche-Supercup which René Rast was winning three times. Same car doesn´t mean same performance, only if probably the engine is sealed and there are not many setups to tweak like in the BMW M235i Cup.

    • Gui Cramer

Those are for rules, etc, which you “tag” when creating a vMod. There is one RaceEvents for the Steam install, and hopefully active in the next non-Steam public update.

  • Gui Cramer

Things driving very pleasantly and looking fine too overall (despite them jaggies). This has “League” written all over already!

  • Dani .

Again as the FLAT6 for RF1 sounds have bad offset, and personally I have clicking sounds when some samples start, have to fix them as i did on rf1. Enduracers If you want updated samples, tell me.

  • kkacper

Fun car to drive around, terrible car to race online for me. I’m like 4s a lap and you have to basically drive the cars sideways through corners, not my cup of tea. Still love the feeling of how it goes when driven normally. I may also just be getting slower, oh well.

    • The Turtle

You have to relearn how to drive in a 911. The engine hangs out behind the rear axle and the front end is light. You really drive a 911 with the throttle much more than any other type of car.

The first time driving a 911 or 930, at speed, can be a rude awakening in real life and in a sim that properly simulates the handling characteristics of a 911. I have owned a couple 911’s including a very early 3.0L 930 and can say that this mod is the most accurate 911 I have ever driven in a sim.

The 911 Cup car mod in GSCE used to be my favorite car of any sim and now this beauty has taken the number one spot.

      • kkacper

You see, 911s are my favourite cars ever, but this one just doesn’t feel right to me, the lines just feel unnatural for anything with wheels to go faster sideways through corners than doing actual race lines. Meh, I’m probably the only person here to not like it that much, oh well

      • The Turtle

If you are fighting the natural handling of the car then I can easily understand you being faster going sideways.

I understand the 911s are you favorites but have you actually driven them in real life? 911s are like playing golf…..you get the exact opposite of what you think you will get.

      • kkacper

I don’t mean me, I mean others going sideways and being absolutely fastest around, not even funny. No I haven’t driven them in real life. And don’t worry, I’m not fighting its nature (I know how to drive most cars quite fast around here), I don’t go sideways in cars, just not my style, and that’s why I’m saying I seemingly tend to be slower than others who literally throw the car and brake with it going sideways into the corner. Don’t mind me, I’m just a passer by, I guess it’s just one of these cars I need to avoid.

      • Dani .

I think the problem in this mod is the low grip in medium speed corners, and in corner exit, lateral grip is really low, the rear engine would put a little more grip on exiting corner for my taste and less drift. I think too, it has floaty FFB, I understand it on acceleratión, but not on braking when grip must go to the front side. I didn’t try FFB upgrades maybe that helps.

      • Depco

I bumped up the FFB in upgrades and it made a difference in feeling both the road and the weight transfer so that throttle control felt more precise. I really felt alot more secure about cornering once the FFB had been strengthened.

      • Sigmatc

        An advise please 🙂

On Sebring, I put brake bias to 56.5 to prevent the rear from going away when we have to break hard.

Is this what you will do on the real one ?
Does this car have this behavior when braking hard ?

      • Dean Doucette

        You’re a lucky bugger.

      • http://dj0100.com/ 0100

You should have never sold the 930. It’s amazing what they are going for now. I use to own a 911SC and kick myself everyday for selling it. They are going for twice what I sold mine for. 🙁 The 911’s of the 70’s are still my favorite!!

  • Kev

After some more time with this I have to say this should be the demo vehicle for rF2. Modern vehicles aren’t my thing but with detached FARB, minimized rear wing, 900 degree steering + 25 lock, rain tires and using the clutch I sure am having a heap of fun on Mills Outer Loop A against AI which are pretty solid there.

    • Michael Hornbuckle

      Using the clutch?

      • Nic Van

Only downshifts require clutch + heel/toe.

      • Kev

        Yep. An abomination I know.

      • Michael Hornbuckle

This car autoblips for some reason in my game…hard to use a clutch when it does that

      • Kev

        Yeah me too weird

      • Depco

Yes, It would appear that autoblip has not been disabled as previously believed. Hopefully that is something they fix in their next update to the mod. Other than that though. I have been having a blast online on Sebring and Sao Paulo.

      • Kev

They have indeed, in the ISI forums, acknowledged the bug and are going to fix it 🙂

    • Dean Doucette

I, too, am having a blast with the Group C, but I am racing on Outer Loop B at Mills Metropark versus the AI. It is incredibly fun.

  • cristianuk

feels like driving a locomotive, why so much prise

  • Kev

I have a problem. Getting auto-blip on both upshifts and downshifts. I have auto blip = false in plr just to be safe even though says doesn’t apply to semi-automatic and I am still getting blips. I have no other aids in UI. Thoughts?

    • Nic Van

Same thing is happening to me. Maybe a mod related issue?
      From enduracers website :
The Flat6 Series has no blip, you need to make heals/toes technique on braking/down shifting phases.

      • Kev

Oh well another mystery I guess. Too many choices to be fiddling unnecessarily. Back to HistorX for me….

  • Roger Ramjet

Great Mod, drove Apex and flat 6 back to back and was tossing up the virtues of both , was a hard call but left it as both great drives, Flat 6 in the rain is awesome!! Delicate braking and throttle control, toning back wheel effort and reading weight transfer really has you working for consistent times.

  • Gabriel Pai

    Here it goes…

Physics feel the same as on rF1. I feel like I can do literally anything with the pedals and compensate the dumbest mistakes with the steering. Doing Curva da Sol flatout with just little countersteering feels dumb. The driving is too permisive, it feels like a walk in the park (no, you don’t need to be an alien to push a car and have it biting you back). And watching the garage screen and seeing the springs fixed at exactly the same rates as rF1 (both ends at 240 Nm…I will let that sink in), it makes me wonder how much work did they put into this mod.

I respect EnduRacers a lot, but this is below their high standards. I hope it gets improved.

    • Dani .

      It doesn’t feel like rf1.

  • Paul Maguire

FFB feels a little funky on the CSWv2

    • Paul Maguire

I need to add multi to 1.3 to feel good

  • Marc CHAPELLE

The mod is now available on the steam workshop : http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=587034279

    • Patrik Marek

      awesome!

    • ImageArtSigns .

Already subscribed…brilliant work….only nit pick, the graphics text banner at top of the windscreen needs to be higher resolution if possible…just feed back

  • Andrew Tiltman

The notes above state there is no auto blip, however the throttle blips around 60% up and down gears. Additionally you can also clutch-less shift up and down gears no problem, no crunching??

    • Marc CHAPELLE

the issue about autoblip will be corrected.

      • http://www.mikecantwell.com/ Mike Cantwell

Any chance of leaving it as an option? Love the mod.
