It will take more then extra wheel buttons to make people upgrade. All thought wheel buttons would be nice. I think I could make that upgrade on my G25 myself.
How about making it look like a real racing wheel? Of course then they got to choose which type of racing they want to represent. How about a choice of different wheels?

I hope this wheel have a reasonable price in my country and not as the G25, around the world is priced at $ 260 and in Argentina the price is up to $400

Owning DFP and DFGT, the DFGT is a lot better wheel than the DFP. Dunno about the pedals as I don't use them. Clearly though, they've re-used practically all the pedal and wheel casing design, saving in production cost, but the much lower internal friction of DFGT makes it a lot better. It also has more buttons. And yes the rotary dial, which though is utter pos, if you ask me. So, if they've improved the internals, like removing the FFB deadzone that a lot people report (can't confirm that as I've not tried it myself), then it should be clearly the better wheel. But as the G25 is roughly 2.5 times more expensive than DFGT, it remains to be seen whether G25 to G27 will be as tempting and logical switch as going from DFP to DFGT is.

eiwfihaaa: well if they’re not going to improve any of the internals, like the force feedback, whats the point in upgrading for 4 extra buttons? what a dissapointment if this is going to end up being the final product. the money would be way better spent on those fanatec clubsport pedals, which look like a massive improvement over the g25 ones.

+1 It looks a bit fake really. The buttons look cheap and tacky... Will wait for Logitechs confirmation on this.

if it won’t be belt operated at least, i don’t think the addition of few buttons on wheel and rev LEDs will worth it.

I for one, don’t think this is the genuine thing. Its best to wait for confirmation from Logitech before jumping to conclusions.

If this IS the genuine article, it looks like a mod that Jeremy Clarkson might make with a £5 budget and some superglue.

I seriously hope this is a joke. The wheel has always been too thin.. If it’s been changed it still looks too thin.. The pedals weren’t adjustable and were too soft and close together…wasn’t addressed… The shifter looks like the same shifter minus the ability to convert, maybe it’s on the back? Over all I’m trying to figure out how the engineering team stays employed

wow really disappointing if that is the G27….I mean couldn’t they improved the pedal position….added better shifter knob instead of just adding more buttons on the steering wheel….maybe the big difference is the FFB motor and better pedal feel.

*Sigh* not all-platform compatible probably, judging by the buttons. Logitech dropped the ball. The new high-end mass market racing wheels NEED to work with all systems. There’s too many good driving games out there for every system.

well guys its still a G2x series.. consider it like a step above like 240z, 260z, 280z etc. lol. If it was a new design, im sure it wouldnt be a G2x anyways.

That is one ugly racing wheel. As soon as that comes out, people will add better shaped buttons and a more visible rev display. I hope the shifter is improved and the force feedback as well.

I like this more than the Fanatec couse it looks like a racing car wheel, not a road car. My main issues with the G25 are the flimsy gearbox (plus the plastic top of the knob looks very cheap), and the wheel’s thin grip. I wish they’d change that.

I don’t think this is it though. That would be a weak move.
Why would anyone be buying this thing if the Fanatec is out there with a pressure sensitive braking pedal?

I’ll be waiting to see what it’s going to be like though untill I decide between Logi and Fanatec.

Well that is good news if changes are not big, because then price should not be much higher than G25.

I just wonder how you choose seq/H-shifter if shifter unit doesn’t have that selection-knob(?)

And hopefully shifter has beefened up to make it stronger.
