FF3 is slow to start up only if you are using a large number of add-ins. There is little difference in page loading performance between it and IE8RC1. Feature-wise, FF3 still runs rings around any version of IE, including the current IE8RC1. The only fly in the ointment with FF is the need to switch to the IE engine for some web pages (thanks to Microsoft-proprietary crap being used in the design of those pages).

Gopher04, slow? Are you smoking rock? FF2 *was* slow. FF3 is much faster then IE. FF3.2 nightlies are drasticly faster. If you think FF is slow then you either haven’t used it in years or are a MS fanboy. Well, I am an MS fanboy so maybe that isn’t a reason. BTW, IE8RC is slower then FF also, even on Win7.

Yeah FF3 is far and away the best browser. Speed is not the be all and end all. As you can see its the only browser that can and will warn you of dodgy sites.

Instead of AdBlock Plus, I just use NoScript. You get far more control over what can get run on a webpage.
For getting rid of annoying stuff on a page I use Nuke Anything Enhanced.
Like ermax18 I’m using IETab to view this page at the moment.

Hope it gets sorted soon so I can switch back to FF mode.

FF3 is a great browser; add AdAdBlock Plus as ermax said and it will become even better, without many annoying banners and unwanted new windows. :)

FF 3 is rubbish anyway, its so god dam slow, i went to version 2, and thats always brought up warnings when i have visited here, right from day one..

2point8, switch to FireFox and install the AdBlockPlus plugin and you will never win another Wii. :) I had to use IETab to get past the security warning and was bombarded with ads. I forgot what it was like to be an IE/Chrome/Safari user. :)

Yes, Google is the problem – Firefox bases their warning on Google-data.

Even though this system certainly is a good idea to protect users, it seems to affect clean sites from time to time as the web is full of webmasters who suffered from the same problem
