kScope:

It has nothing to do with ferrari project, afaik there is system3 behind FVR.
However the models and the track layout are quite good and maybe it should be ported to some other platform (hint scca hint)

The models, specially since they include full interiors seem worth the effort to port/convert out to other platforms.. Sadly this game isnt even NFS fun... imo a waste of 300mbs on your HD.

If you have weak FFB or no FFB in some racing games, try to set the spring effect strength and the damper effect strength to 100% in the Logitech Profiler.
This works very well with NFS Porsche Unleashed, so I suppose it will work also with FVR.
Usually these settings are turned off in our wheel settings, since the most modern sim engines work better without them.

Plenty of FF with G25. I love the physics. I did do the INI, change mentioned above. It was a little more tale happy. It's a hoot to drive. Get's two thumbs up from me.
P.S. Yes the A. I. aren't much of a challenge. There all to busy trying not to scratch their Ferraris.

Well, the situation is not so different for us too: you almost feel nothing on your steering wheel.

I feel great FFB here. Deadzone (in game) set to 0. I have connected two wheels (momo and dfp) still effect are there (on DFP) Ideal range is at 420 ;o) Finally I fully agree with drowsy

drowsy:
It’s not a simulation by any means, but I honestly thought it was alright enough. Games like GRID and NFS should feel like this, at least it felt like there were four tires and an engine on the car, which isn’t something I can really say about most racing games these days.

PS: With wheel its too easy beat AI on hard with no assistance etc. in one lap :/

But i do not think i still have forcefeedback.
Is a bit lame to drive such a game without FFB

It doesnt work with the Xbox 360 gamepad with the XBCD drivers. I use XBCD so that both triggers are on seperate axis for brake/accel. I tried to set both in game, but the brake is on. I have to press brake in order to let off it. This unfortunately breaks the game for me so I cant play it.

The game only works with one gamedevice.
So i can’t race with it.
As my pedals & shifter are on a other controller.
Anybody has a bright idea?

I used that before for one small game.. It worked perfectly.

Hmm i haven't driven GRID that much, but if you say THIS is better then huh. What first came to my mind is that this is not better than NFS most pro street carbon wanted. And i still mean it. Gran turismo is waaay better then this.
And i also hoped for some good sounds, but these are crap.

Disclaimer: i know this isn't meant to be a sim in any way :)

@ Mr. A
You're welcome.

@ mike
Not that I know of. For me the most drivable way is to set it to a lower turn degree in the wheel profiler.

Thanks for the info XESSiV! I was hoping there was an option like that hiding somewhere, but I couldn't find it myself.

Made this little game a bit more fun.

It seems FVR is developed with assets from System 3's Ferrari Challenge semi sim for PS3. At least it looks pretty similar to that game. Let's hope they'll add some of the FC "sim" features to this game.

Although even in its current stage FVR is very fun to play and looks pretty good for a free game.

I also agree with previous posts. If GRID (and DIRT) would have had physics similar to this (even though it is simplistic) it would probably have been a lot of fun.
