Slightly Mad Studios takeover of Blimey! Games, the newly announced Need for Speed Shift title and hinted legal problems have left many people worried about the status of Ferrari Project.
If you´re looking forward to the licensed Ferrari simulation, here’s good news as Slightly Mad Studios’ Ian Bell has confirmed in an interview with AutoSimSport that the simulation is still very much alive and being worked on.
More details will be disclosed on Sunday when the newest issue of ASS will be released, including the full exclusive interview with Ian Bell. Stay tuned!

There hasn’t been much information released about the game (or I have just forgotten it ), but it’s supposed to have lot’s of both new and old Ferraris.
There was a few screenshots on their old website:

Thx for the info and the screens!
I must say they look amazing, especially the F430 with the flames out of the back.
Also the old F1 ferrari is cool. Hope they will release it soon or give more info

Hopefully we’ll get some more info about it in tomorrows issue of ASS.
And yes, it does look very nice. I think the general “guess” is that SMS’s NFS-game is based on the same tech/engine as this. And it has probably been in development for quite some time, long before it was meant for use in an NFS-game I would guess.

I dont like single make games, I wish these guys would be bought by Michael Schumachers investement group (or some other dude with lots of money) and given total freedom in making GTR3 or ALMS.

Just a quick heads up guys, it’s out now over at AutoSimSport. (ASS

Pretty good read. Not a lot there on the Ferrari Project other than it’s coming – but there’s a lot of good info regarding Shift and the whole Simbin/Blimey/SMS saga. I’m sure some of Bell’s quotes will have some of the more fanatical Gran Turismo fans foaming at the mouth…
Big props to AutoSimSport as well, I’m not all that familiar with their stuff but after looking over a few issues it’s clear that a ton of work has gone into these. Top marks all round.

Oooh, so NFS Shift and Ferrari Project does not share the same game engine after all, interesting…
And the game engine for FP is not even developed in house? I wonder what the *beep* they are using for that game then.
