Secondly, this has also strengthened my ambition to invent a time machine and go kill the production of requiem for a ****ing dream before it’s ever made.

carbonfibre:.Sony Vegas is the only editor with these ‘drag and drop’ stock video effects which means literally that the user has implemented Sony’s trademark video effects straight onto a cut with mostly stock settings, due to the easy way in which Sony Vegas allows this and party down to editor laziness. – not to be confused with experimental practise, the editor should use their own digression with addon video effects. The stock effects stick out like a sore thumb to all experienced Sony Vegas users which include; Lens Flare, Light Rays, Glow, Radial Blur and TV Simulator as some of the most notorious misused effects by amateurs looking to boost the appearance of there productions often to detrimental effect.

As an Adobe Premiere user I've never tried Sony Vegas. I guess those effects are ok if they're used correctly. I'd say they were convenient rather than because of editor laziness because why bother creating these effects the hard way if its just a quick'n'dirty edit you want to do on a video ?
I do see your point about it cheapening the look of a video. Again its down to using them correctly and at the right time.
I'm not a special fx nut when doing videos as I prefer to present them as they are. If Im making a rendered 3D video (like I might be doing soon for the FSOne cars) again I`ll let the work speak for itself.

Can't wait to try this. Hope there is a traction control option for terrible keyboard-drivers like myself. Does anyone know which version of Monza was used in the video?

I face-palmed so many times I'm generally getting a headache. This is like the casing point for all bad videos; almost every cliché, every rotten video effect, poor audio mixing and poor syncing ever done! ...has been proven in this video. :haha:

Two things: I have a right to be pissed off because this is exactly what's giving Sony Vegas a bad image in the professional industry. Use WMM, it's free - there's a new version out for Win7, and you won't have to pirate your Vegas copies any more just because you think you have "advanced editing skills" or "video effects joygasm", that is too good for WMM.

Secondly, this has also strengthened my ambition to invent a time machine and go kill the production of requiem for a ****ing dream before it's ever made.

Surely different to other previews???

I've never seen so much bullcrap-cliché americanized hyping on a racesim-mod before(one comes to mind of several american actionfilm trailers when watching this).
What's up with the cliche music, ugly, misplaced lense-flare (1.11 - 1.15), wierd dubbing of engine sounds.

wow! It's a preview.

Oh yeah, wrong helmet shapes by the way ;)
