Team LMT has released a new preview video of their 2009 Ferrari F60 Formula One car at Monaco, showing a lap around the world’s most challenging street circuit both from cockpit and TV view.
Having earned a reputation for high-quality Formula One league mods, the F60 is the team’s first ever public Formula One mod. Even though LMT is a close-knit team consisting only of a handful of people, the team has been able to make some stunning progress on the car, their efforts have been helped by other modders such as CTDP, FSONE and Luca de Leo who provided the car’s sounds.
The team promises realistic and very challenging physics, the effect of which can be seen in the video as the lap ends in somewhat bad fashion. It won’t be long until you can test your driving skills with it as the car’s release is rapidly closing in.

That looks and sounds better than the overly expensive Indy car of iracing. I’m impressed.

Look forward to seeing how they have put 2009 F1 Car Specification into rFactor. Hopefully its not a mod that’s difficult to drive purely for the sake of being difficult rather than a realistic portrayal of an F1 Car.
Too many modders seem to think difficult = realistic when it isn’t always the case.
Nevertheless looks good so far

OMG this looks great. Looking forward to the release!
Btw, anyone knows where I can get this version of Monaco?

Thanks for the nice comments.
What out this.. 2 days before realseason starts..a round with David Smith in Melbourne http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H_pFX6Z8LWk (real lap 0.2 sek faster then on Quali2)
David are not the fastest driver in the league…so we finish the physics before real season starts…and the fastest laptimes in season are near the realtimes +/- 0.2sek.
Last race, Valencia fastest racelap real:1.38.683 F1Liga.com: 01:38.504
LMT works 4 years on this physics, and for us is physics more importand then optical thinks.
We think not bad hard..but near to real and with good handling at the limit are importand.
I´m sure many guys dont like it… its no driving aids there..(only possible no damage and autoclutch)
You can press TC ect on..but it no works in this mod…
We use the mod witout all aids and press N after a Spin .We think..thats real…a realdriver must press a button too..when you dont do it..the engine stalls.
Its only a demomod..so the community can watch out we do here…. nothing more.. we like it… but i´m sure 98% dont like it…
EDIT: The monaco track is a LMT edited leaguetrack..not public..sorry mate. For real laptimes..you need special edited tracks^^

Looks good. Sure, some will get angry about the TC, but I personally think cars should be raced with the aids they have in real life. Its the whole realism-thingy again, people will scream and curse if something is not “realistic”, but they will also go ballistic if there is no TC option on a 1955 F1 car.

Yes yes exactly !! I go online with an F1 2007 mod and the server has TC disallowed !? Well aren’t simmers craving for realism all the time ?
Or is it only when it suits ?
Game-wise TC should be there as an option on all cars as you don’t HAVE to use it. If you’re offline you can turn it off to suit yourself. If you’re online with a server you can choose whether to enable it or not.
So if there is an F1 2008 or 2009 mod with TC enabled it should not be a problem for anyone. You can just turn it off !
A few years ago I used to have this issue cos I was dreadful at running F1’s without TC. Now with practice I don’t need it any more and it’s much more satisfying to race the 2008 F1 cars as they are meant to be ran.
But because of that, I can sympathise with those who are less skilled than others and still need it. I don’t agree that those people should be ridiculed or called ‘noobs’ etc. That’s sad and quite pathetic.
I do subscribe to public servers having TC available for people who may need it. It encourages more people to join it instead of having 30 servers, most of which are empty or have 2,3 or 4 people on them.
Today, if I race MMG F1 2007 mod, I always enable medium TC even though I don’t need it. Simply because thats how it was in real life. When I race FSOne 2008 mod I disable it. That’s how it should be if it really is realism you’re after rather than just stroking an ego or saying “it’s more challenging without” which kinda misses the point’

What servers??
I dont think guys do races only with the same car..hehe
).
FSONE09 comes soon…this is the perfect 09 mod for public racing i mean.
And CTDP09 will be great for RF2, i think so.
The F60 Mod is only a single car demo mod… with driving aids that allowed in real season(nothing
We start with them a F60 challenge to find out the drivers for the new season 2010 cockpits.
Before the mod leaked out..we release them for public and the community can test at first time a LMT Mod car.
Thats all we like to do it…
We dont release the complete f1 mod…we never do this bevor and we dont change this rule in future. We are a to small moddingteam to build a good public f1 mod in a good time ..and its stupid to work on the same cars like other teams… we litle support CTDP…but i cant speak about this here.
Thats the reasons why the LMT Mod demo has no ABS TC or so avaiable…not online…not offline.ok

The servers with GP79 or CART Factor run without aids, as if to give an example…

Sure….. mate
Really great mods!
I mean what F60 servers ?
We will open then, one server for guests but i dont think somebody will do publicraces with a singelcar mod

I never got something. Why do people doctor their videos by adding motion blur and the like?

Same thing happend with that GP2 series mod from NunuX/Wardog team. I’m no expert on monopost cars, in my opinion TC being off does not necesary mean a good sim experience, as in real life when you have a multi-feel feedback from the car, I for one cannot appreciate the values of feedback from sims with such extreme physics on a simple G25. To put all into one example, imagine a true formula driver having to race a real F1 car with a G25 wheel, will he still perform?

Not in anyway criticizing or being sarcastic (i happen to be a great fan of CTDP), but how does one establish what are realistic values for an F1 mod/car? They’re so secretive about every aspect of the car it would seem pretty much impossible to obtain proper values.

This is an unedited video made by me and not the LMT movieteam. I only drove one lap and uploaded it. and its not my best lap though The movieteam has twice the size than the modteam hehe and works on the intro/presentation videos…after they finished their videos, the mod will be released
.
We are really sure that the CTDP09 will be fantastic and has a very realistic physics.

Are you sure this is that way? After Malaysian GP Vettel said:
And I hope there will be option to disable 3d arms, as an upgrade for example.
