Fanatec has started pre-prodcution of their Porsche 911 Turbo S racing wheel, the only Xbox 360 compatible wheel in Fantec’s product lineup.
Interestingly, Fanatec points out that the production was delayed due to Microsoft demanding support of a particular feature in their upcoming Forza 3 title – A game that hasn’t even been officially announced yet!
The wheel will also make an appearance on the E3 expo in Los Angeles in June. The Fanatec Porsche 911 Turbo S wheel is available in three different versions, ranging from the Pure edition for €189 to the Clubsport edition that comes with Fanatec’s much anticipated Aluminum Clubsport pedal set. I am still waiting for a review of the GT3RS vaporware wheel. I am very interested in the pedals. I wonder if production will ever get smoothed out so that you don’t have to wait months to get your wheel. The next group of GT3RS wheels to ship comes in July! Crazy. There will be reviews of the G27 before the GT3RS. :)
