No problem :cool: .
Unfortunately, my situation means I can't try the new drivers! I emailed Fanatec when the last set was released, as there were calibration problems when using them, they said a new set was due soon...turns out a sensor in my wheel was just giving up, it wasn't the drivers. :sad2:

Hope we get some decent feedback on what these are like.

Sorry, I was just bored and mildly entertained that my tone came off as upset online. :p Fanatec seems to be quick with customer service. I wish they'd come out with retail 64bit drivers sooner.

^Sorry, did I say something wrong? I didn't retaliate in any way, I simply admitted my mistake, and acknowledged my ignorance in the matter. No need for the retaliation post.

~~~
But, for the record, I HAVE had correspondence with Thomas, and other members of the Fanatec support team, and no-one mentioned these 'mini-repair' shops, at any point.
I'm actually in the process of arranging for my wheel to go back to Germany, which is another reason why I assume there aren't any of these 'mini-shops'
Have a nice day.
so, did you actually ask thomas about shipping and sending the wheel back? Does everyone in europe have to ship it back to germany? I think Fanatec has mini repair shops: people that wheels get shipped to for repairs. or at least maybe that's something they're going to do in the future. I read something about it a while ago.
No you don’t. you just have to ship it to California. they have a warehouse there. Misinformation FTL.
Well, I must say, I didn't know this. but A. Be more polite about it, and B. I'm in Europe, which is why I didn't know about that. :neutral:
Yeah, but if it breaks, you need to ship it back to germany for repairs. Remember that :weird:
I don't understand what's different about this drift mode from fiddling with the settings as you would for Logitech wheels in the Wingman software, or for other wheels, fiddling with the in-game settings. Are these features that were previously missing?
I'm not saying it's a bad thing, and I'm sure it will be well appreciated by Fanatec owners. I'm just not clear on how it works.
Is the waiting list really that long? I suppose that's the price you pay for smaller manufacturers. From the look of things and the reputation, seems like it's probably well worth the wait. I can't afford one, of course, but when it comes time for a new wheel, the Fanatec line will be at the top of the list.
I wish I could just go and pick up a Fanatec GT3 wheel in a store or somewhere. If you buy one, you have to wait months to get it.
Does anyone know if there is a set of 64bit drivers that will work on Win7? I want to install it on my main PC, but I don't want to and find out that the drivers don't work on it when I get the GT3RS in two weeks or so.
