Fanatec Porsche Turbo S Wheel – New Firmware Released

Fanatec has released a new firmware version for their popular Porsche 911 Turbo S wheel, fixing issues with some of the wheels.

The firmware version 660 fixes the problems listed below. If your wheel isn’t affected, the update should not be used, please make sure to read the included documentation beforue using the update.

Changelog:

- Improved precision around the center for some wheels (not all wheels were affected)
- FF and SHO values adjustable in 10% steps

    Don’t need this anymore, ’cause my Turbo S nicely broke down… after under one months of use, which was nice. Belt broke/fell off or something.

    One thing is sure, those ppl have to learn to make more reliable products. Steering wheel which doesn’t work is quite useless. And it seems that German quality isn’t anymore what it used to be.

    this only happens if you mount the wheel with screws to a cockpit or desk and tighten the screws too strong. We clearly mention that in the manual.

    The issue is easy to fix if you open the wheel. We can do that too but we have to charge something if the problem is caused by customer misuse.

    First that wheel had that center-bumb problem which ruined its useability almost totally, then that updating seemed to be impossible to do.

    And then that final brokedown. F**k you and your crappy products. I don’t recommend them to anyone. Hopefully Logitech and others gets you out of business.

    I am sorry that this happens and to you although it was certainly not a mistake of the product. You can destroy everything if you just use enough force.

    We are usually very flexible and tolerant with repairing things even if the problem is not caused by the product quality but the way you talk here totally disqualifies you for this extra service. I guess you are a bit young and emotional…
