As announced a few days ago, Fanatec has been shipping out the first batch of the highly anticipated Porsche 911 GT3 RS wheel and the Clubsport pedals.
Just like countless other customer orders , the VirtualR example has arrived today. Below are some hands-on photos of both the wheel and the pedals, curtesy of PTF. A full VirtualR review will be coming up in a few days time.
In related news, Fanatec has just released a new version (089) of their certified 64bit driver. The driver works with all Fanatec wheels and the Clubsport pedals, make sure to install the new driver if you´re among the ones who got their wheel today.

I don’t understand why they have less buttons on the face than the 911 wheel? I mean, why? The 911 has 8 and this looks like it has 4.

I think it does have the same…it has a D-pad on it.
Can’t wait to get mine, too bad it has go from coast to coast in the US to get here though. Hopefully it will come this week. Hopefully your review will hold me over :P

I wonder if a pure racing version will ever come out. That is without that plasticky thing in the center, but something that looks like a 997 Cup OMP wheel… plus a button plate.

Manuals are not available yet, you can use the Porsche Turbo Wheel manual for the time being since the wheels are almost identical.
