    Woohoo 🙂

Don’t update the GT3RSv2 wheel.. they’ve (accidently I guess) put the GT2 firmware in the GT3RSv2 download package, making your wheel useless if you flash it.

Hope they fix it soon, seems like an easy fix to me.

There’s an update. Should work now!

    • Andi Cirk

i didnt notice and flashed mine and it didt break so maybe im just lucky … re updated now and all wrks fine (not that it didnt after first try) so firmware is now correct one …

      • F1Racer

How is it after the update ?

      • steve farrell

It feels a little bit better with smaller FFB effects being felt in the wheel but there is a lot more dampening in my GT3RS V2

      • F1Racer

Hmm well I guess I`ll give it a go. I can always flash back if I don’t like it. Did that with the last beta cos there was something wrong with it.

    • steve farrell

They updated the zip file with the proper firmware for the GT3RS V2 this morning.

  • Marcus Caton

Let me know when their drivers are G27 good.

    • Alejandro Gorgal

As a G27 owner myself I dont quite get this comment, we haven’t had a driver release in months.

    • Anonymous

Let me know when the G27 becomes Fanatec good, ROFLMAO.

Another Fanatec firmware/driver fail … so glad I got rid of my gt3rs v2 … It seems that their software will never match their hardware quality …

  • Kyle Williams

Flashed this firmware this morning and updated drivers, after several hours i have not had a single issue on my GT3 RS V2 and the steering and FFB is certainly better for me, feels a lot looser and smother in general.

    • F1Racer

By looser, do you mean less resistance on the steering wanting to return to centre when turning ? If so, I’m not sure that’s something I want. Decisions, decisions….

      • Kyle Williams

Mine has always had a bit too much resistance for my liking making the steering feel heavy no matter what i do with the FFB settings, with this firmware it has freed it up quite a bit.

      • steve farrell

I feel more resistance with my GT3RS V2 when steering. In F1 2011 the wheel is very heavy.

      • F1Racer

Well I guess in that case I’m just going to have to find out for myself. 🙂

  • Paul Mullins

I went to upgrade my Fanatec Steering wheel last night..

then I realized I still don’t have one because they don’t sell to Australia.

You’d think nearly two months after they where suppose to launch their new website all these issues would be sorted??

    • steve farrell

Thomas also said before the CSR Elite was released it would be €499 but then he said a few days before it was released it would temporarily be €539 due to shipping costs just for the first batch.

Anyway what you said about wanting to update a wheel you dont have is silly.

      • Paul Mullins

Not being ‘silly’ Steve.. just sick of the broken promises.

I had to pay more than 50% more than those in the US just to import my Clubsport pedals because Fanatec continue to ignore this part of the world. To import the CS wheel base and BMW wheel would cost me around $1100AUD ($1133US)..

So it’s easy for you to start the person attacks and call people ‘silly’ when you don’t have that problem in your part of the world mate.

      • StarFoXySxv550

You pay over the odds for everything in your country when it comes to games anyway, I hear. I think you’re crazy to pay that much though, I would have sat it out.

      • Paul Mullins

Would love to have just sat it out Foxy but the fact is Fanatec make great products and I was racing with some very old pedals. Getting a CS wheel at this point would probably see me speaking with a divorce lawyer 🙂

      • StarFoXySxv550

I hope they come to Oz soon then, for you (and your marriage) sake

      • steve farrell

You were silly by saying you were going to Flash firmware to a wheel and then said you diidnt have one.

I wouldnt have said you were being silly if you simply asked when you are getting the possibility to buy a fanatec wheel or if you criticised Fanatec for still not having a store in australia.

      • Paul Mullins

look up ‘tongue in cheek humor’.. sheesh..

My whole point of the post WAS to criticise Fanatec for not having a store in Australia.

If you gonna be on here calling people ‘silly’ everytime they express themselves, well, you’re not going to be very popular mate..!!

      • Bryan Godsall

        Perhaps you should google “Sarcasm”

    • Anonymous

i agree and no bloody info from Thomas at all its becoming like they don’t want us to know anything of whats going on and when it will be running.
      they need to communicate better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Lasse Jakobi Ougaard

I’m sorry Paul, I’d sit down and try to dig up some more patience, if I were you.

I live in the neighbourgh country Denmark, and I only just received my email today, that they are going to send a CSW and Formula rim to me one of these days coming days. I ordered mine on the night of the release..

Still, Im just happy I’m finally getting something! :))
