Fanatec ClubSport Wheel Production Started

A month ago, Fanatec announced the pricing of their upcoming high-end ClubSport wheel base and the accompanying rims.

Now, the company has kicked off production of the new units as manufacturing of both the bases and the Formula rim has been started.

Fanatec expects the first wheels to arrive at their warehouses in June, pre-orders will be accepted once the wheels are on their way to Europe in a few weeks time.

I think an upgrade from the G27 won’t be too far away.  Tried a mates CSR Elite on Forza over the weekend and gotta say I was impressed.  Hopefully I get to run it on my PC in the next few weeks with PCars, iRacing and rFactor 2 to see if it will suit.

Thomas your products look amazing! Pity I cant get these in South Africa else i wouldn’t of wasted R24000 ($2400 us) on an F1 playseat with T500 rs+ F1 wheel :( Thomas, hopefully soon we can talk business :)

     Thomas,
Just wanted to say that I had to sort out my dodgy wheel problems with your guys last week.   Your tech support was amazing and your solution to my problem was perfect.   Nice going and big thanks to Johannes for giving me a great alternative option which I didn’t even know was possible !
    A+ !

Does anybody know if this wheel handles a 100Hz FFB frequency?  I’m learning that newer sims are raising this rate and am curious if this wheel can handle it.

  • http://www.facebook.com/Fanatec Thomas Jackermeier

It can handle up to 1000hz but we will limit it because the major games don’t support more than 400Hz and this leaves us more power ressources for other tasks of the processor.

I think if you like the feel of the fanatec’s in forza (where the FFB strength seems to be capped somewhat) you will love it on PC. I have a GT2, and overall all the feelings through the wheel is multiplied while on PC.

The only thing I miss is the simultaneous use of the rumble motors, although this isn’t a fault of the wheel, just the benifit of using the wheel with the xbox/forza, all that is soon forgotten once on track though.
