Fanaleds – Technology Preview Video

Gerben Bol and Dirk Teurlings’ Fanaleds tool has quickly become a must-have for Fanatec wheel owners, vastly expanding their wheel’s display functionality.

After releasing several versions, the guys are now branching out to other hardware as a new preview video shows Fanaleds in action with the Logitech G27 as well as the SLI-M, SLI-PRO & SLI-F1 displays which will all be supported by an upcoming version of Fanaleds.

Until the new version is out, you can check out the video below and download the current version of Fanaleds here.

wow the club sport is big

  • kai modmate

Mr. Bodnar really works together with those guys from fanatec..gosh

  • Dirk Teurlings

We are not affiliated with or employed by Fanatec, it’s just where Fanaled’s roots started. We’re now expanding the horizon a bit and are trying to deliver a single application (plugin) to support all your hardware needs.

  • Dirk Teurlings

It is, though the 120 degrees lens does distort the image somewhat so the side wheels would always look smaller.

  • kai modmate

So you develop that “software” without fanatec or Bodnar???
Im not sure but EK simracing software is really one of the best on the market and i know he wouldnt be amused about a soft doin the same though.I mean if Fanaleds support Bodnars board there will be problems in future i think for you.

  • Dirk Teurlings

We develop the software on our own, but have got some direct contacts at Fanatec and also with Leo Bodnar. EK simracing’s software isn’t free, ours will always be free of charge. A bit of competative software hasn’t done any harm on improving the end-user experience has it? ;)

Also, the products from Leo Bodnar can be programmed by anyone, the API descriptions are freely available. So EK doesn’t hold a monopoly there.

  • kai modmate

I understand and im sure any experienced programmer can do a soft for it. As for EK i was pretty sure they got contract with bodnar otherwise there would be already thirdparty software available here and there. Anyway, im sorry if im wrong here.

Looking fwd to use this on my g27!

Kai – where are you getting these ‘facts’ from? How do you ‘know’ about this (nonexistent) contract between EK and Bodnar?

I’d suggest you are guessing and have zero inside infomation which is incredibly embarrassing for you.

To suggest that there is a contract simply because no one else up until this point has written their own software for Leo’s products is grasping at straws at best and quite frankly, makes you look like a fool..

  • Richard Hessels

The g27 is 28 cm, the normal fanatec 30, and the clubsport BMW is 32 cm.

  • kai modmate

Thats funny cause i said I THOUGHT there is a contract, also i said im sorry if im wrong. Not really embarrising is it?

And it was more likely common sense as there is a hardware dev with a 3rd party software dev…conclusion for me..they got some sort of contract. For me it would be more unusual if they dont have a sort of contract tobe honest.

Anyway, to call me a fool cause of my point of view is a joke mate.

Kai – Funny (and interesting) that you have edited your original posts to remove the bits that make you look bad..!!

  • kai modmate

Thats not true, i didnt touch the post you replied to!

I did edit my 2nd post and just the sentence “it may get you problems…” nothing more.

Its you want to me to look bad, nothing more.

I really love Fanaleds!! I use this as my primary shift and gear indicator on my modded CSR Elite!

Really appreciate the very professional and smart app!

  • John Beeson

There is no contract between ourselves (Leo Bodnar) and eksimracing. The API is indeed free for anyone to make their own software.
