F1RFT 2008 – On the Way to Redemption

While plenty of people have been enjoying the F1RFT 2008 Formula One mod, its content has been a matter of discussion at many forums and sites. It is still somewhat unclear what content was used from which sources. Some say the models origin in the Grand Prix 4 community but nobody seemed to be able to name any modders whose work has been used.

Because of that, I (and many other sites) decided to treat it as a legit mod, even though some stricter places banned this mod for possible unauthorised conversion content. This could change now as the makers have received permission from FSONE to use the parts of their mod that have been used, meaning this mod could become fully legit really soon.

This is a very positive development as the makers certainly have made an impressive achievement releasing a complete mod this early in the season. Being able to advertise this mod on sites like rFactorcentral would be well deserved…

    now we (offlinedrivers) need a good single player mode with realistic physics and skills :mrgreen:

    if it becomes a legit mod then it would be nice they put english language in it…

    Have you tried the single player version in the latest ‘full’ version? Physics is good, and the AI is very representative of the current skill levels, i.e. Lewis, Kimi winning the races that I don’t win! :lol:

    i ve downloaded the last version but there are still drivers like sutil, davidson and vettel in the first places.

    Not with me there isn’t. At the moment, I’ve done the first 3 races and I’m first with Lewis 2nd, Kimi 3rd and Kovaleinen 4th.
    With the new release there are 3 options in the series menu, ‘F1RFT 2008, F1RFT 2008 SINGLE MOD, and F1RFT2008 League’. Make sure you’re running on the ‘single mod’ one.

    Uninstall the basic version first and then try the full version.

    i know that i have to uninstall the early version before installing the full package ;)
    ill tray to reinstall it ^^
    btw. whats the different beetween the single mode and the “noname” mode?

    F1RFT08 League is for league, the F1RFT08 is for online play (standard physics for every car), and the F1RFT08 S is for single play with different physics for each team. That is the one to use, i.e. the ‘S’ single mod version.

    Now when it is a legit mod, F1Rft group should
    really remove the rfactor crack from their
    downloads section!!!!!
    I think that is one reason why rfactorcentral
    doesnt put F1RFT08 on their sites!!!

    Well done!!!
    Now F1RFT2008 should have full approval
    throught the rfactor community!!!
    And have its place on rFc.
