Montoya it's great to hear you located a work-around for the .swf/banner issue. This site is a great resource for sim enthusiasts and your work is appreciated.

@speedy
Software restrictions in the IT sector are common and have absolutely nothing to do with employees browsing habits, nor the sites they visit. The restrictions are implemented based upon logical security measures setup to ensure the safety, integrity, and overall compatibility of the lan/wan.

I think if you browse this site @ work and you're not allowed to install such a plugin then you also aren't allowed to view such sites :wink:

After lots of research, I found out what the problem with the banners is. The lightbox (the picture that pops up and darkens the rest of the screen) is unable to overlap flash-banners.

The normal banners are no problem but the flash banners are not correctly overlapped. I wasn't aware of that because I usually only see normal image banners as the banners depend on the area you´re from.

I will be switching to a new gallery system in the coming days that will solve this problem once and for all. Please bear with me as it will take a while, I´m not exactly the biggest tech-head around ;)

I agree on the fact that a website should be usable with standart software, this problem was around this long because I was not aware of it. And those banner-blocker thingys can be a double-headed sword. Sure, advertisements can be anyoing but many sites rely on those to pay for hosting and the effort that is put into them. And if you block out banners, you might someday be losing a site you like... (I´m not talking about this site, more of a general thought :smile: )

100% Agree Dabona, the popups have been killing the screenshots every time. As a web developer, we design sites based on the default settings of the big three browsers available (IE, FF, Opera). You cannot expect visitors to jump through additional hoops to view your content. Furthermore, many of us browse the site while @ work, where our employers restrict the use of any/all third party plugins. My 2 cents, take it or leave it.
