F1RFT 2008 1.0 – Released

To be honest, I was not sure if I should post this as something still smells fishy about this mod. On the other hand, our friends over at DrivingItalia.net posted it, that gave me the confidence to do the same ;)

The 2008 Formula One season starts in less than two weeks, still the first mod simulating the 2008 season has been released. F1RFT features all cars of the 2008 season and is probably what die-hard F1 fans are looking for. Those of you who can’t wait to play with the 2008 cars should try this, don’t get scared away from the Hungarian-speaking set-up.

For now, I´ve made a few screenshots. Later today, I will have an in-depth look on this mod and its surprisingly quick development.

    What is fishy about this mod? Haven’t quite followed the story surrounding it.

    Hey guys,

    the mod is nice, but there iss a issue with the tires while the car is on the track. In the showroom the tires fit correctly but on track, especially on the F2008, the front tires are positioned too much to the middle of the car so the suspension end right in the rubber of the wheel and the backtires are also too much positioned to the car middle, cause they are too far away from the rear wing.

    But netherless: awesome work in such a short time!

    There is a problem with the helmet of Hamilton. It is Alonso’s.

    Nice mod though. Very quick to bring out.

    You are right, noticed the tire issue too. Just installed the F1RFT 2007 version and that one looks OK. Also very nice mod.

    Yeah, i heard that this uses GP4 MODELS WITHOUT PERMISSION.

    Tht aside, i cant wait to use the 2008 cars so soon. And some credit to them for compliling and modding the data they used so quickely…>_> <_<
