F1-S-R F1 1992 2.0 – Damage Preview Video

F1-S-R keeps on releasing cool new preview videos of their F1 1992 2.0 mod for rFactor.

This time, we get to check out the mod’s damage models as some havoc breaks loose at Monza in the video below.

The new version comes with completely remodeled cars featuring more details and plenty of other eye candy as you can see in the previews below. Until then, F1 fans might want to give the first version a go.

1992 saw Williams Nigel Mansell clinch his first and only World Championship title, followed by team mate Ricardo Patrese. The year 1992 is remarkable for another reason as a young German named Michael Schumacher contested his first complete season in 1992, finishing third in the championship and clinching his first win at Spa Francorchamps.

LOL! The mod will, I’m sure, be excellent but when’s the last time you saw a couple cars get into it braking into a turn and 12 wheels go shooting into the air and bouncing back and forth between the nearest walls?

Who cares, though, honestly? I’d be willing to bet that anyone here would take realistic onboard audio and great physics over amazing damage modeling, no?

No. If arcade games can do it, what is the excuse of sim devs? Physical damage model is big part of immersion for me.

I thought the same until I read the comments on the you tube page.
View it on you tube, it says the damage has been turned up for the video to display what can be achieved….or something..
