F1 2012 – Spa Reality Check Video

sinZapatillas3 has put together a F1 2012 reality check video, using Codemasters’ recently released Spa on board video.

The video pairs up the game footage of F1 2012 with real footage of Pedro de la Rosa’s HRT around Spa, retaining the Anthony Davidson narration of the original video.

F1 2012 will bring all cars and drivers of the current Formula One World Championship season to the PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. The title is due to be released on September 21, a demo version will be available around September 14.

    jesus
Do they not know what camber is? the elevation change is half #^@&#4
it’s so weird watching the last chicane etc with no camber positive or negative.

Well, IMHO… for a game this is not bad! I’d prefer they focus on the physics vs. the track layout… I can live with a little track inaccuracies. To say they screwed the track up because the Kerbs are not painted correctly is just being ridiculous!
You know I’ll probably get taken a 3rd time; cause I’ll buy it on release day! Where else can you get the “Circuit of the America’s”

i can not say anything regarding the new physics… but i do not like the tv cam. it looks like a game. maybe some guys can alter the postition to the hrt view i hope

Looks good, but after being bitten the last two years I won’t be buying. Not being able to play online after reaching rank 51 was the most ridiculous bug I have seen in a game in years. Not to mention the bug where I didn’t get penalised for cutting corners/chicanes, at all.

Don´t you think that you are a bit exeggerating? It doesn´t look totally off.

    There’s a reason it looks like a game :)

    ;-) you are rigt.
but i was hoping for better cams, and sounds…
let´s wait for the final product

Given the modability of rFactor 2 and Assetto Corsa I’d say you could start there. However, the circuit really doesn’t look that interesting. Just a long “bits and pieces” collage of other Tilke tracks.

I think the t-cam looks ok. Thing is it’s a game so some people drive from that view, whereas they obviously don’t in real F1. So the one in real F1 points down a little more. The one in CM’s game, I think, is angled better for people wanting to drive from that view because you can see more of the track.

Or iRacing which probably will be one of the first due to them already being stationed in USA.
