looks like handling might be even more arcade in this one

This might sound dumb, but one of the things I used to look forward to in the yearly iterations of F1 on the PSX was the different menu and HUD designs (it helped that the game was leaps and bounds better each year too), so to see the same poor HUD being used that was in 2010 is quite shocking, in my eyes, it shows a real amount of laziness on developer’s part (apart from all the non-bugfixing too).

    Almost as in AC.

Where is it the same HUD??? Thats just not true, google the other games and you can clearly see the difference.

Ok it looks nice, but that is all

Helmet view ? C’mon, less than 5% of players use it, it’s useless !! Delete it and use gain of resource to bring us and even better race feelings !!

Nicely made track, but i don’t have the desire to drive the track in a formula car. I’m more a GT-freak. ;)

In before everyone starts judging the physics based on people driving with a controller and aids on…

“the first demo version ever to be released of their F1 titles.”

They’ve noticed we’ve stopped buying them then :)

Meh, the physics and handling are never going to be good in any codemasters game.

That will never change at codemasters. If they can even eek out their existence for much longer. They’ve basically chucked the towel in on everything they used to do except racing games, so I doubt it’ll be long until they’re sold or bust.

They don’t have the skillset to do decent physics, and they are not interested in doing it even if they did have the skillset.
That’s clear in every title they’ve ever written for any console for how ever long they’ve been releasing arcade racing games and rally games.
It’s pretty pointless hoping their next game might have decent physics after this amount of time.
When Steve Hood went for his interview he said that he almost didn’t get the role when he said “Handling is the most important thing”

So whatever you think of the game – and you’re perfectly entitled to enjoy it as is,it will be like last years title and the years before that – an F1 game with arcade physics and handling.

Are you still expecting a simulation from Codemasters, even 3 years after the first release ?
Codies don’t do sims, once and for all. Their market is console arcade gaming for teenagers, and they are VERY good at what they do.
When will people quit complaining about a state of fact ? It’s useless.
    Wishful thinking never changed anything.

You like a good spanking, don’t you ? Hihihihi.
    Here’s a bone for ya ;)

Yeah, but people like to be deceived of their own unrealistic expectations, so they can complain instead of solving their situation.
Exactly like politics or most any human concern, when the ego is at the center of society… Oups I did it again.

Codemasters don’t call it a simulation anymore, they specifically say arcade too. I, tbh, don’t mind Codies’ F1 games apart from their bugs, it’s a alright if you want something to just have a little fun with..and not all teenagers only play arcades, I’m 15 and get a 1.14.6 at Adelaide on FSR’s F1 1991 mod for rFactor :)

I was about to throw rotten tomatoes before that final line ;D

The graphics look even more fablish/toonish than last year, 2010 was the best in graphics area. I do not like the approach to this.
