F1 2012 by F1Ligue – Model Previews

The French F1Ligue team is working on bringing the cars of the upcoming 2012 Formula One season to rFactor 2.

Despite the fact that most of these cars have just been revealed to the public, the team is making quick progress with creating the virtual version as you can see below.

The 2012 generation of Formula One cars will feature a very distinctive nose design on most cars, creating some of the oddest looking F1 cars in recent years.

The screens are a bit weird but at least we have f1 2012 in the year of 2012.

It’s crazy how fast these have been whipped up, there are still a lot of rough edges but most of the cars look really nice. Can’t wait to see it in action.

omfg I was looking at these renders thinking “wow these modders suck!” My apologies for my moronic thoughts gentlemen — Allow me to digress. Wow these F1 cars just keep looking worse every year! Bring back 2008, they looked bad nasty back then.

Great models though, two thumbs up for the modders :)

  • felipe_s83

Holy shit, looks made by paper.
Ok there’s good models (in paper) than that.

Sorry guys , sad but TRUE

look like cars of a game of a other century 1999 or so

weird mod and arcade physics. Don’t follow this WIP.
The final mod is for the league only, it will be released after its 2012 championship.
Follow the MMG or FSR mod developped with real datas.

The release is for public and not only for the F1Ligue, stop talk for nothing.
I’m NSChumacher, and the Admin F1LIGUE.
    Thx

My modeler’s instinct says these cars were made too fast guys. It’s good to see new modelers coming up doing their very best. But from what I have experienced in the past, these models are far from being up to standards nowadays, and I assume it’s gonna be hard to have them welcomed by the community :(

” I’m doing this for my community F1LIGUE priority.

If I see over time that my mod is not well received it will remain private it does not bother me. . .”

    Hmm it was edited.

In FSR we have fixed the temperature issue without the ISI fix. ( i show you had problem with that )
I wish you a success also.

f1ligue,  If you want, send me one of those cars (Lotus Renault) :)   I’m curious to see how they look when I render it.

  • Ricoo

I had fun using your mod, so thanks F1Ligue’s guys. :)

You should know that the BETA has absolutely nothing to do with the version that comes out.
We work with others to improve the physical mod.
    Thank you to our supporters.

To fast, too fast guys, these cars looks weird in some places, and looks unreal for me ( eg. williams). I would like see these cars without this weird scene, just white car screen from max. How big is  polycount limit for each car?

why is there always a sad mind to spit on other’s work?
and why is there also, some loose mind to ask details that they know, they’ll never get, just to look smart?
this mod is going to be the first F1 2012 for RF2, as it has been for the precendetn years…
and it’s strange to see people popin’ out from nowhere, again, just to look smart and for sure deliver their precious appreciation!
this mod is and will be the only F1 2012 available very soon!

lucky  that there are some positive answer ;)

  • seua

you are a sad and loose adviser… running for MMG I guess…
this ain’t nice to go down on someone’s work, and close to be very disgusting!

  • Konrad Kowalczyk

    He is from FSR

Maybe it will be the first F1 2012 mod but at what price ?
I prefer to have a decent mod and wait a bit more time and enjoy it all the time, even after X months than a quick build mod, unfinished, just to please the hurry people who wants all immediately. It’s just my philosophy. A simracer philosophy.

wanna have any f1 2012 mod for rFactor 1?

I’m intrigued as to how the modders’ eyes weren’t destroyed by the Ferrari F2012 – I honestly can’t bear to look at it, the car looks horrible (IRL).
Their eyes must have mystically healed while building the McLaren.

it is not because we’re going fast in the realization of our models that work is finished after a small rendering
We continue to work on the textures of all the cars, we add bump, lines of structures, carbon etc. …
There is much work, and we show that a very small part of what we do because we prefer to work that make reports, pictures and videos ingame ingame everyday.
When the Mercedes is completed, we will show the first ingame video of all models (10 of 12) until the last 2 presentations.

Morgan, if you want to offer some constructive criticism then please do so.
It is unacceptable to degrade someones work in this way and tell people to stay away from it.
It sounds to me that in order to make these statements you must have tried the mod.  Have you?
Lastly I think people can decide for themselves what to follow and what not to. It’s not up to anyone to try and influence that.
