Reading this makes me really lucky we dont got the patch yet.

On the other side, I now know what type of game it will be, it shows incredible lineages with gta4 already, with an patch announced not even an week after the release ‘which fixes everything’ and then the promised fixes didnt even work. What is the problem of making good games these days? And what is the problem of making an patch that works?

I think most people will expect to much of this patch. I mean it is a patch, not a new game. of course it won’t fix everything. Just focusses on the stuff that makes the game unplayable. I’m sure the slow AI won’t be fixed until F1 2011.

If this game fixes the pitstop issue, the punctures and the AI not pitting. I’ll be satisfied. That’s all I really need to be able to enjoy this game. Now it’s just waiting for the PC version to be released.

Of course PC users have to wait!  :-P   We are definitely ‘aficionados’ and absolutely a force to be reckoned with.  Seriously, hopefully this means that when Codemasters works and tweaks the PC version, that it will be a thorough and comprehensive update and Fix and that because of the hardware (PC and authentic wheels and pedals most pc users have), it can be made to go more in the direction of simulation.  Notice that I said in the ‘direction’ of a simulation  [as meaning hardcore and true to life as possible in what the community understands what 'simulation' means], because this program in it’s essence is NOT created at it’s core to be a true simulation but an immersive and enjoyable F1 ‘game’.

well I am fine with that…if they fix bugs I am happy with game…they never said that it will be hardcore sim and I accepted it like that. Don’t really understand why some guys can’t just accept the fact that hardcore sim community is too small for them to at least pay off what they invested in development of the game…

PC update will be the same as the PS3 and Xbox. They make the patch general.

Because the Quote ” Hardcore sim ” close quotes community is blinkered, they act as if they are the cream of Quote again “Racing GAME” players, yet most who visit this site, cant read for shit.
CM never said f1 2010 was going to be a ‘hardcore’ sim, …… as anyone actually, said what hardcore sims are, i only know of one, and thats called iracing, how many of them, that claim they are ‘hardcore’ simmers actually play iracing.

Sorry, I mean that the patch of the PC will not have anything new which wasn’t in the fixlist, just because the PS3 patch is out earlier.

LOL true… developers must be perfect cyborgs like in the past, and relasing perfect games from beggining, just like ISI do with Rfactor…

THe PC version has DX11 as well so yes it does have more than what the ps3 version had.

the classic arcade game defender was 27k, including sound and graphics, IIRC.

Well I gave the patch a go with my Ps3 version ( yet to try the PC patch out as its due next week) and they have fixed the pit bug where you where held for too long. Plus everyone pitted this time round and No blown tires so it seams they have addressed the main problems I have experienced with this game.

I’m still waiting for the patch… it is not avaiable on North America yet….

@zudthespud; where am I saying that? I am saying that they cant actually make playable games anymore because every game got like a million of bugs, I really cannot call up an old game that was the same like they are now. Then they might have got bugs yes, but they nearly never screwed your gameplay, and if it screwed the gameplay it was atually fixed in a patch, I dont see that happening right now. F1 2010, HowisthatwargamecalledfromCodies?, GTA4, Sniper, and alot more. These 4 games I have called up are max. 1.5 years old.

Good to see the FPS problems in the mirrors and reflections has been fixed as well. Makes it look a lot smoother.

Another plus is that Petrov is not so overrated anymore, if I do quick races he instantly falls back to around P14 if he starts in the top ten due to me doing just a quick race without qualy. :)

I call for another VP patch which involves him crashing into everything in every race. Only then are we getting closer to the real thing.  :-P

Launch the game while you are connected to internet and you’ll be able to download it.
By the way, now PC patch is available too.
