Now just to figure out if I should get it on PC or PS3.  I’m tempted to get it on PC incase any modding happens, but its always nicer to just play it on PS3 and moving my rig infront of a 50″ tv rather then a 24″ monitor.  Plus its always nice to not have to worry about your pc’s specs…argh.

Back in 1996 Sony’s F1 for Playstation got me into racing games, and eventually simracing. I hope this title will do the same for some young games out there.

Best to take of your realism-glasses and enjoy the title for what it is, not what it’s lacking!!

It looks more like Dx11 footage to me, which in any case is slightly misleading because we won’t have that for a while yet.

Atleast it looks like they sorted out the cockpit position of the Force India, spot on!   Hope the rest are the same

Yeah cos that’s never been done before.  Put yourself in business shoes for a moment. Wouldn’t you do all you can to sell your product ?  This is no more misleading that prices with ‘.99′ at the end to fool you into thinking its cheaper, or supermarkets offerincg 2 for 1 deals instead of simply half price for 1.    Or a car being sold at a higher price due to ‘only 1 previous owner’ or ‘low mileage’.  You’re being mislead all the time in marketing, thats how things sell.  
It’s not as if you have to give up a kidney to buy this game and the in-game vids we’ve seen are as you see them properly.   This is a marketing video so if they didn’t pep it up a bit I`d be surprised.

Ad is filtered but that televisoin for you , I still think this is going to be the best F1 game we have seen. And this is codies first attempt remember so I believe they will just get better and better!!!!

I’m wondering too. But the main reason is how will my G25 fell in the PS3, because in the PC you can tweak it in the logitech profiler to how much degrees you want.

Is this title in the PC boxed version ever going to be available for pre order from Amazon or somewhere else? All I can find is PS3 and Xbox 360 and a Steam version for PC. I always prefer a boxed version. Thanks for any info

I have a 42″ Full HD TV as my computer monitor. And my 3+ year old PC can handle all games I want (NFS Shift looks amazing, the gameplay looks a lot better than the in-game videos).

I really don’t know why people thinks that one has to choose between the TV and the big screen.

That said, I would probably get a PS3 to play GT5 and Brütal Legend.

i’m sure they put more work into the whole commercial stuff for the game than for the game itself…
think it’s going to be the best looking f1 game ever, but it’ll be far away from what you’d call a sim. it’s every time the same behaviour whit….. months before the game’s going to be released you see images and movies and all the stuff…. interviews with real drivers who agree that this is the most authentic game ever…. at the and you have another arcade racer

This is no Iracing or Rfactor, but that doesn’t mean it’s not one hell of a great game :)

jeez, how many times does it have to be said ???   It’s common knowledge it’s not goin to be a sim in the terms that we use the word.   But that doesn’t automatically mean arcade either.  It’s not that black and white !    So a racing game, to you, will either have balls-on accurate physics or shit physics ?   There’s no middle ground ?  No decent physics that may play well but just but be pure sim ?
I can’t believe at this late stage there are STILL people dogging on this for not being a pure sim when it was never going to be or meant to be.  But because of they dismiss it as arcade.  Well define arcade to me.  Define sim to me.  I`ll bet F1-2010 doesn’t fall directly into either category. 

Also what kind of a statement is that first sentence.  You really think they have spent years on the promotion of this game and maybe a few weeks on the game ?  To use an old Simbin slogan, get real.

In terms of a complete F1 package this IS the most authentic F1 game ever.  But the problem is that you just think in terms of physics such is the narrow field of vision.    You want pure sim physics ?   Go look somewhere else. I believe iRacing have a Williams out.    Otherwise stop dissing a game for not being what it never was programmed to be.   This isn’t a comtemprary version of GP Legends. 
The physics clearly will have some merit and will be far above what should really be termed an arcade game.   As I said before, games like Blur and Burnout Paradise.  Thats arcade.  Not this.

It was 95 but it came out in 96, so I guess you’re right :)  And yes, both awesome!

What’s wrong. Not having fun with your ultimate state of the art and most realistic sim ever made??

I’m in United States. I don’t know if UK version will be what I need. Not available yet on Amazon.com. I’ll check Newegg. I just know I get stuff QUICK when I pre order from Amazon. Usually day before or day of release.

What’s the difference in the United States PC version and UK PC version? I can find UK version a lot cheaper

In the US PC version, the reporters refer to you more as ‘dude’, tyre is spelled incorrectly and likely any race dates will be backwards (i.e.  09/24/10).  The safety car will either be a Corvette or a Ford F-50.  95% of the crowd will be waving an American flag so they can tell each other that they are proud and true patriots.   Also the seats in the grandstands are reinforced.

In the UK PC version, the reporters may refer to you as ‘me old mucker’, tyre is spelled correctly  and the dates are the right way around with the shortest periods of time going in front of the larger ones  dd/mm/yy. 

Some of the crowd will carry the Union flag but that will be to support Hamilton or Button as the Brits can love their country without pushing it in each others faces.
