It´s so great that the laser scanning technology is the new standard for car games but however I doubt that this will be the sim we´re looking for. CM has promised sims before but now a days arcade racing seems to be CM way to go. Unfortunately, but offcourse we can allways hope

I wonder how long after release until forum moderators will have their hands full deleting threads/links of new laser scanned tracks for rfactor/gtr... :sd:

It would be really nice to see some mod tools by Codemasters. With the highly detailed tracks it would be a shame to be limited to only driving them with only the cars that ship with the game. Grid and Dirt, while good games, have become boring to me because of the small amount of tracks, and lack of downloadable content (PC). rFactor, and GTR2 are my favorite driving simulations because of the great custom content made by people just like you and me. New mods come out just about daily, while Codemasters cars and tracks have a huge coating of dust on them. I have been a real fan of Codemasters, and they try to make their titles interesting and fun, but they really need to start listening to the players. If I'm not happy, you will not be happy Codemasters, or with my $50 in your pocket. And remember, make it a simulation. Let the crashers and children play Grid. I want a real challenge.

Codemasters makes some great looking games and now with the addition of track scanning should a good step up for them. BUT..it all comes down to how the car drives and the physics. If Codemasters puts as much work into physics and making it a REAL sim..then we have something to look forward too.
