F1 2009 F1RL 1.0 – Released

Since several readers requested it to be posted, here’s the story on F1LIGUE’s Formula One 2009 mod for rFactor. Like every year, several mod teams try to win the competition for having the first current-season F1 mod for rFactor done.

F1LIGUE succeeds with that as their mod is even released before the actual season is started. As one would expect due to the very limited development time, many things about this mod are generic and rushed. Still, if you´re keen to drive 2009-style F1 cars (and I know many of you are!), this mod is for you.

The mod contains all cars of the upcoming Formula One season, including the USGP team as a semi-fictitonal goodie. Since the mod has been made by a league, all cars have equal physics for close multiplayer racing.

    Who requested to post this? Reveal yourself! What’s so special about this mod? It doesn’t even meet F1 Challenge standards. The most cars look NOTHING like their real life counterparts. Looks like all of the cars share the same sidepods. Is the community that desperate?

    I agree, if this wasn’t about F1 I don’t think anyone would have paid attention. On the other hand, the real indication that the community is that desperate is that if they looked ok in the graphics department, nothing else would seem to matter, they would be praised generally like all similar mods. Unless I missed on some F1 mod, I don’t think anyone has even tried to make a realistic one yet.

    I hate this. For God’s sake, STOP being angry about things you get for free. Maybe it isn’t up to MMG or CTDP standards – so what?? I’m sure you’ll sometime get an F1 2009 mod that suits you. In the mean time, either play with this or simply ignore it. No one’s forcing you to download anything.

    Montoya, I appreciate the fact that you post this. Good to know what’s going on in the community. And this just shows how quick some modders are. :grin:

    Liked the ones back when Schumaker was there better…
