F1 2007 for GTR Evolution – New Previews

After quite a long while without any news, MMG has finally released an update on their Formula One 2007 conversion project for GTR Evolution.

MMG has teamed up with GTR Evolution conversion specialist Gunthar Rowe aka. KämpferAs who has released the following new preview screenshots. Once finished, GTR Evolution racers will be able to relive all the action of the 2007 F1 season as MMG’s popular rFactor mod will be spiced up with new features like animated arms and rain races.

    Yes, its a conversion of the F12007 MMG, from rFactor.

    Also, the wheel looks a mite small in those hands….

    Not to say that this won’t be good, but for those who don’t know, there’s already a damn good F1 mod that’s bee out for Evo for quite some time. If you can find it, give it a try, it’s as good as any F1 mod I’ve ever tried.

    Would that be CTDP2005, released for Race? If its anywhere close to the rF version in terms of physics, it should be a blast! I’d recommend people give that a bash while they wait for this ;-)

    The only problem with those F1 mods for Race (GTR Evo) is, there is no 7th gear in the Steam version. SimBin replaces the modified .mnu file with the original from the .gcf archive, and all the modifications disappear.
    Maybe we, as a community, should try to convince SimBin either to add 7th gear themselves, or to allow changes in the .mnu file of the Steam version.

    Though I am sure the F12007 MMG mod for GTR Evo will be excellent. :grin:
