Team WCP is working on a 1998 Formula One season mod for rFactor, bringing another historic season of F1 to the simulation.
The mod will include all cars and drivers of the 1998 Formula One season which saw Mika Häkkinen clinch his first world championship title. Below are the first previews, showing you what to expect.

I might be wrong but I believe 1998 was the first year on grooves and it only have 3 grooves in the tyres not 4.

Hmm the modelling to me doesn’t look up to date standards.
But anyway, respect to the modders!

I reckon it’d be good to have a mod that recreates old games, not just old seasons. How about releasing this mod not as an F1 1998 mod but as a Grand Prix 3 mod, complete with sounds, HUD, intro movie, etc.
Come to think of it, I reckon a Grand Prix 1 mod would go down nicely with those of us who still remember racing against the likes of Carlos Sanchez (i.e. Ayrton Senna).

@Lovretta.
That’s because it’s a bad CTDP 1998 convert. CTDP1998 was originally released in 2004 i think. That’s why it looks outdated and these guys have NO permission to use our f1c models. TRUB has the exclusive rights for a f1c conversion!
