Giuseppe Rainieri has received permission from CTDP to bring their Formula One 1998 mod from F1 Challenge to rFactor, adding one of the few missing seasons of modern-day F1 to the simulation.
Below are first previews of the conversion, showing Michael Schumacher’s Ferrari F300 both in pre-season spec and with the controversial sidepod wings that were quickly banned by the FIA.

I know that many people will find the sidepods ugly, but I’ve been loving them since they appeared!

I’ve been looking forward to news about this mod. Anticipating it greatly.
You’re not alone, brother…

I hope you guys know that the front 1998 tires only have three grooves.
Hopefully rFactor supports different tire textures for front and rear.

Good to know it!
Let’s hope that the mod will be more lucky, this time: Turb was doing a great job, but he didn’t released any news since many months ago.
