F1 1996 for rFactor 2 – Benetton Preview Video

F1-S-R has released a new preview video of their Formula One 1996 mod for rFactor 2, showing us the Benetton B196 in action.

Powered by a Renault V10 engine, the B196 was driven by Gerhard Berger & Jean Alesi. The car clinched several podium finishes, helping the team to a third-place finish in the constructors championship.

1996 was a year of changes for the Formula One championship as two-time world champion Michael Schumacher moved from Benetton to Ferrari. The year also marked the debut of Indycar champion and Indy 500 winner Jacques Villeneuve who finished second in his debut season behind Williams team-mate and championship-winner Damon Hill.

    WOW guess we can;t sneek anything past you… ROLF.

    The Gmotor is not avail yet to the modding community for rF2.. SO all videos are made using rF1.. But the quailty of the mod is designed to run in rF2 from what little information we have.. I think we will make it available in rF1 at a later date..

    I think everyone understands the video is made with Rfactor1, but why put Rfactor2 logo in there in the first place. I expected someone to comment on this, and I actually don’t think it is as stupid as you make it out to be. Putting the Rf2 logo in the video is just misleading.

    you morons are the typical rfactor trolls that pollute this place. The fact that the story says it for rFactor2 yet shows the original rfactor was my point in the first place. Don’t say its for rfactor2 and not mention its being shown on the uber crappy first generation rfactor. It would be confusing to people just checking out the site.

    Rob I see a pattern here with you posting stuff, and it usualy ends up negative, our video was posted on our forum on March 29th, thats over 5 weeks ago and you have picked it up and saying its a “new release”, F1Lover did not post it here at virtualr you did, and now some of your readers have taken it wrong and flaming because it says for rfactor2 but is clearly using rfactor1, but the intentions were to give the viewer the idea that this 96 mod would be for rfactor 2 when it comes out, is that hard for anyone to see? or like Hawk do you feel the need to get upset and complain? and remember Rob started this :wink:

    It’s up to the reader/viewer to get the fact that rFactor 2 isn’t released yet into his or hers brain, and that it IS okay to start working on mods BEFORE the game is out.

    Sarcasm on: Shame on F1 Lover for putting the rF2-logo onto the video. How could you?! Sarcasm off!
