F1-S-R has released a new version of the League Edition of their Formula One 1993 mod for rFactor, including all cars of the season with equal physics for close online competition. A historic version of the mod with realistic physics will be coming up later.
The mod has been made with full permission from Oggo and his GP4 team who created most of the original material. Lots of other modders have added material to this mod, please refer to the readme file for the full credits. The new version comes with new physics, two new models and plenty of other changes listed below.
Changelog:
Added Magny-Cours Livery for Williams Renault FW15C
Pit Workers for all teams
Fixed Transparent Texture in Liger and Lola
All New Minardi and Tyrell Models
Added new looking menue
New Physics model and tyre and suspension changes
Important: Make sure do delete version 1.0 before using the new version.
1993 was the final season to allow driver aids such as active suspension and anti-lock brakes, the season was dominated by Alain Prost and the Williams team, clinching both the driver and manufacturers title.
Furthermore, F1-S-R also released Kyalami 1993 for rFactor, the South-African race track was originally created by Toad.

Tested it yesterday and everything looks good. The new default setup is way better than the old one. The sounds have been tweaked too and the ride heights are now perfect. (only the sauber is a bit to high but you can tweak it in the sauber upgrade.ini. Beware it causes online missmatches…i think…)
The hole package feels really good know and i think this has become the best classic f1 league mod since gp79. GREAT WORK

2.11 GB unrarred! Almost a different car-texture for every single race. Don’t think that’s so important for a League Edition. Have not played it though, as I first have to create some free space on my hdd

the track is not well done at all…maybe well made, but totally wrong format! look at vids on youtube of the 1993 track and you will see… ive always wanted a version of kyalami without the chicane… wish they did it…atleast now the real kyalami got rid of that chicane and replaced with a right hander…maybe someone can make an accurate version…

Ran a 40 lap race on this track…..only problem I see is when the AI cars go to make a pit stop, the cars run right up to pit entry almost at full speed, come to almost a stop then make a hard left turn from the right side (far side) of the track. If a car approaches from behind while the other car turns in, the results won’t be very pretty.
All in all, it’s a outstanding track with alot of places for overtaking.

Just gave it a test, I’m not sure the sound tweak is a step forward, The Renault V10 internal sound has been changed to sound more like a deeper rumble, which to be fair is what it sounded like onboard at some races, but it always had the distinctive v10 note in there somewhere. This unique v10 note has been lost in the latest sound tweak and i think i prefer the original internal sound.
It also frustrates that the Sauber and Jordan externally at least sound like v8s, I know source material is difficult to come by, but I hope one day this mod will have sounds that match the beautiful modelling.

I am really struggling with setup on this. My wheel broke, and therefore using configured XBOX 360 pad. The problem is I find that even with the AI set to 70% I cannot keep with them on acceleration and mid-corner. I have engine boost @ 10/10… ANy suggestons/help?
