F1 1993 by F1-S-R – Mclaren MP4/8 Renders

F1Racer has released five high-resolution renders of the Mclaren MP4/8, part of F1-S-R’s Formula One 1993 mod for rFactor.

Powered by a Ford V8 3.5 liter engine, the MP4/8 was driven by Ayrton Senna, Michael Andretti and Mika Häkkinen. Senna won five races with the MP4/8 during the 1993 season, turning out to be the final victories in his abruptly-ended career.

    I guess I could have smoothed the wheels out myself but decided to keep it as the mod makers released it.

    Why go to all the trouble of making pixel-perfect representations of these cars, when underneath they all use the same engine and the same physics?

    If you’re a *real* F1 fan, it’s the fascinating performance differences between the cars (not just their appearance) that makes them special.

    I hope that more mod groups focus on Historical editions, rather than this “every-car-is-the-same” crap.
