MMG has released new preview screenshots of their upcoming Formula One 1991 mod for rFactor. The mod will include all cars of the 1991 season which saw the first races of a young German driver named Michael Schumacher.
As MMG’s yanden reports in his development blog, the team is currently busy putting a demo version of the mod together, giving us a taste of what’s coming up. The demo is planned to be released in about 4-5 weeks, until then you can enjoy the screenshots below.

Yawnden has said this sort of thing before.
Where’s the promised demo of the 1992 mod?
It’s well past the end of 2006 so where are the full 1992, 1994 and 2006 mods?
Where are all the promised tracks? Stolen conversions don’t count.
Have a look at the August 06 issue of Autosimsport and read the total bullshit that Yawnden has spouted in the past:
http://www.autosimsport.net/issues/autosimsport_v2i7.zip
I’m sorry but I simply dont believe anything Yawnden says anymore, nor any of his blinkered fanboys.

First of all the 1992 mod is no longer apart of MMG, it was taken over by Grand Prix Classics when they left MMG and released the 1979 mod under their name. Cause as many of you might remember 1979 was once MMG too. So we have nothing further to do with 1992 mod as it was not our mod to begin with, the person creating it was in MMG and left to join GPClassics. If you want the 1992 mod, go cry to GPClassics. Oh and Danny or Darius, no one gives a shit if you don’t believe what I say anymore, the community has gotten used to the idiocy that comes from your posts in every website, so why not just save us all the trouble of reading your idiotic posts and go somewhere where people do give a shit about you.

lol, everyone who doesn’t agree with your acts is called “danny” or “darius”? Anyway, i just pointed out what you have told us, my dear Petros. We were promised the 91 demo in January, and we never saw it. We were promised the 07 mod in Chrismas, and it was released in March, with crappy sounds, bad physics and a stolen trackpack. Plus the 1994 mod is WIP for the last 2 years and the 2006 mod died a long ago. Am I lying too, petros?

Its such a shame that you use the generally good natured rFactor modding community to get your ego stroked by tricking them with the promise of mods that we’ll probably never see.
The closest the general player will get to driving the 1991 F1 mod will probably be that old leaked beta that is floating about.
One thing I have noticed with you is that if something goes awry it is never your fault. Its always somebody elses.
A good “leader” takes the crap with the praise. You only ever want praise. And for a “leader” you spend an awful lot of time making blog posts and on message boards hyping up your mods, making excuses, creating melodramas and throwing tantrums when anyone throws light on your BS.
If I were one of the guys who actually do the legwork creating the mods for MMG, (if there is anyone actually left) I’d seriously consider breaking away and doing it away from Yawnden. I wouldn’t want all this BS being associated with something that I’d spent hours and hours working on.

When people come into a group and promise a lot and never deliver, how is that my fault? You all blame me for the mod not getting done but is it me not working on it? no, its always others I hire to help finish it who disappear. As I recall, I’m the one still there trying to get it done. And no it won’t be the same leaked beta version. You say I only ever want praise? where have I said that? I too have admitted our mistakes and mine publically, and that makes me only want praise? You don’t know nothing. MMG is made up of many people who have come into MMG and brought their mods into MMG for us to help them finish them or work on from scratch depending on the person. 1992 mod was once in MMG, so we promised it, but it no longer is anymore as they went elsewhere, how is that my fault? or MMG’s? Your stupid to think it is.
And 1991 demo was promised in january. It would have been released in January if Butch hadn’t disappeared and kept the files with him. He was the one who promised he’d upload the files, not only promised me, but also Albert and Antonio. Did he? no! he just disappeared and Albert, Antonio and I were left to pick up the pieces from scratch all over again. So thats my fault too now??? Get a life man, you blame me for everything that happens regardless of whose fault it is. At least I have the balls to say things as they are, if your too naive to take it as excuses and always blaming others, thats your fault, not mine. I say things exactly as they happen, and still stick it through every single day, throughout all the idiots who post bad about me, and keep trying to get things done, and keep things progressing. I’d love nothing more then to have 1991 and 1994 mods out right now, but unfortunately I have to keep finding people to replace those that disappear. Loyal people are hard to find unfortunately.
If you want to keep blaming me, go ahead, I don’t care anymore. I’m just concentrating on my job of ensuring each mod has the people required to complete them. I don’t have time to waste on people like you who have nothing better to do then to bash and bring old quotes into light without the understanding that things change or things happen that hinder the original plan. I’ve had enough of people like that. Its funny how when things go wrong in your lives or projects you expect everyone to be understanding, but you yourselves can’t be understanding to others. Thats the end of it for me to be honest, thats why I don’t post much online anymore defending MMG from people like you, there’s no point anymore because no matter what I say, you guys will always twist it to your idiotic thoughts.

You really do have a knack for making everything into a big drama where you are the victim.
You want people to stop bashing MMG and you? Simple. Don’t announce or hype your mods up until they are literally a few weeks away from being complete.
That way if things go tits up, people aren’t disappointed because they aren’t expecting anything.
If your 2007 mod was released this way, there wouldn’t have been the amount of grief there was as most people would have been nicely surprised to get a(nother) 2007 F1 mod, even though it was released in a rough state. Piss people off by keeping them waiting ages and hyping it up, no wonder there was outcry there was.
And I dont buy your “its the community’s fault for the hype” whine that you have used previously on other messageboards. Thats the attitude of a bored, spoiled child not a former Aussie F3 champ and head guy of a mod team.

Funny how people keep bashing MMG when I don’t see them creating any mods or helping the community in any way.
Also why do people have to post as Anonymous? I say if you hide who your are then your comments aren’t worth reading.

Funny how people keep defending MMG when I don’t see them creating (and actually releasing) any of their promised mods bar the 2007 mess. And they just blamed the community for that also.
Does it actually make a difference if I say who I am?
If I told you my name, you’d just say I was lying anyway.
Bob.

In any case, teams don’t promise, they report to the community because they know the community is interested, not because they owe them a release or progress report. It’s totally moronic to accuse a team of not being able to deliver a mod, even if it’s a little frustrating to be expecting something only to know that it’s cancelled.

MMG are doing this for free so I think they can do what ever they like and if you don’t like it then don’t download their current mod and upcoming mods.
Also every single person who is part of MMG is doing this for free in their own free time so ofcourse projects are going to be delayed or cancelled and blaming them for this makes you a complete idiot. Until you bring out your own free mod I don’t think you really have any right to blame or accuse them of any wrong doing.

While the bashing does go on a fair bit and I have to admit, some of it is a bit OTT at times. At the end of the day its free and the way some of you guys go on about it, it’s like its the end of the world for you!
So some of you out there, Relax and get some sunlight, it does you good ;)
@Petros
I guess you are probably better off not giving any “timeframe” for any demo’s or full mods as he just ends up getting a lot of crap if it fails to come out for one reason or another.
Also its probably wise not to mention your going to have x and x feature as again, should it not happen for one reason or another it will make your group look bad UNLESS you are sure it will be implemented :)
One more question, for me the 2007 MMG SE mod seems to eat a lot of VRAM on my card, I know the cars are detailed but will v2 have any optimizations on the model and texture side of things?

WTF is the comment section consistently being used for flaming the work of others who are brining us content gratis FREE? The amount of whining between the few of you is disgusting, and tarnishes the community as a whole. What is this, -Romper ROom? Awww, a mod was “promised” and didn’t get released… No wait…the wheels are too big…I can’t sleep now.. -Cry me a fkn river. Open the door, step outside you whiny little runts and take a look @ the real problems with the world.
The people who put their time and resources into brining us fresh, new content deserve credit where its due. Grow some fuzz on your jewels and if you must whine, do it in the privacy of a PM or email. Really, where’s your class, men?
That said, screens look great and I’m looking forward to driving that Jordan!
