F1 1988 – Getting Closer to 1.0

Carrera.4 is still working hard to bring his popular Formula One 1988 mod for rFactor to version 1.0. While the first released version is still heavily popular among rFactor players, the 1.0 version will finally complete the 1988 Formula One grid and bring lots of other small changes and fixes.

According to inside-info given on the DrivingItalia.net’ forums, Carrera.4 is getting close to release the new version. Despite finishing up the last bits and pieces, he’s currently waiting for Montesky’s newest sounds and expects a release within the next weeks. Until then, you can feast your eyes at two new preview screens of the upcoming additions to the mod’s lineup of cars.

    I still cant believe Carrera did the initial release by himself in 4 1/2 months and now the finishing touches are almost completed. It’s my favorite mod by far. I wish the Prototype-C people who employ his talents…LOL

    Looks like he still haven’t added specular mapping to the cars…
