Endurance Series SP1 – New Ferrari F430 Previews

Team Enduracers have released new previews of the improved Ferrari F430 GT2 that will be part of the Service Pack 1 for their Endurance Series rFactor mod. Following criticism from the community, the team has decided to re-model the rear end of the car, making the model even more accurate as you can see below.

Introduced in 2006, the F430 caused a shift in performance in the GT2 class, breaking the traditional Porsche stronghold on the smallest GT class. The car is powered by a 4.3l V8 mid-engine, it’s entered by notable teams such as Risi Competizione, BMS Scuderia Italia and JMB Racing. Since its debut, the car has won countless races, championships as well as back-to-back GT2 victories at the last two editions of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The first service pack will be introducing several new models to Endurance Series, including the Peugeot 908 and Audi R10 diesel sports cars, the Acura ARX-01 & Porsche RS Spyder Evo LMP2 challengers, the Saleen S7R and the Ferrari F430.

    When is it coming out?

  • Blacker

Absolutely love it gents. Waiting for SP1 before I run a full ALMS season :P wanna get my greasy paws on that F430 first! Keep up the spectacular work, it’s greatly appreciated!

  • jimmy

Outstanding work. Looks like service pack will be in terms of modelling even on higher level than original cars! Anyway, I’ll stay loyal to GT3-RSR 8-)

  • zer0ryd3r

enough with the damn previews, lets have the pack!!! lol, been checking this site every day for months, specifically for the release of sp1 and keep getting fooled by these preview announcements.

will this SP1 cars also feature(for example the F430) the 2010 wide-body versions?(for 2010 the GT2 had increased track width)

  • R.E.M.

This will be great, no doubt. But at the pace these guys are moving, we’ll be lucky if SP2 comes out before 2012. :-P

  • Flaux

    no

  • svizzy

    looks really good.

btw: the 430gt2 doesn’t have a 4.3l engine they had to reduce it to 4.0l to race in the 3.8-4.0l class

  • CraigT

I figure that rf2 will come out first and then we will be waiting until they can convert it!!

  • Blacker

Svizzy is correct to a point — GT2 isn’t bound to just 3.8-4.0l engines(I assume he’s implying that, I may be wrong) as the Ford GT sported a 5.0L in 08 and 09, not to mention the Viper was 8.3, Aston was 6.0 I think, etc etc.

The F430 GT2 was a 4.0l though. I’m assuming the EnduRacers will get that right.

    I figure the contrary !

Not for SP1, it’s too mutch work to do, maybe for the future.

  • klo-che

There is no release date, and if screenshots annoys you just don’t look at them, simple.

  • Rantam

    That’s a proper answer! :)

  • Rantam

Very nice model, well done! One of the best mods for rF, no doubt ;)

  • Flaux

    I like the answere!  :-D

  • Octavarium

Looking really good. The initial model looked spot on with the exception of the rear quarter panel, however the improvement in this version is very noticeable, especially in the last shot of the JMB Ferrari. Also enjoying new previews of the other new cars in these screens (nice to see a shot of the Cytosport RS Spyder).

  • DeDios

i’m REALLY happy regarding this update! :D now car model is perfect!! fantastic!!

  • Hoover

I like that answer, too! I check virtualr daily and every time enduracers crops up, my heart skips a couple of beats…. looking forward to sp1, keep up the good work folks!

Yeah, but if F430′s model will be nicer than current GT3, Porsche fans like me will rebel against it and demand update :-D

  • Pau

We should protest as of this moment :P :kidding:

I think they’ve updated the Porsche as well, far as I can remember from reading about it somewhere, according to evolution through years.

  • Kyle Williams

The 2009/2010 spec 997 has been added, and the 07/08 spec 997 has been given a makeover.

  • Firefox

    When done.

  • JGoenR

    Nice previews.

  • HoW Monty

    Never.

The GT2 Aston in not 6L, I think it’s 4.3 or 4.7 V8 of the Vantage. And there wasn’t any GT2 Vipers, The Viper CC that raced in ALMS a few seasons ago was a GT3 car that was allowed to race by IMSA but would never be allowed by ACO.

GT2 is not limited by 4L. I think the reason that Ferrari, Porsche and Spyker stick to 4L is that they’d have to run different restrictors, weight limit and/or tire dimensions. So they see the 4L configuration to allow the better overall package.
The GT2 Aston is not 6L, I think it’s 4.5 V8 of the Vantage. And there aren’t any GT2 Vipers that I know of. The Viper CC that ran in ALMS a few seasons ago was a GT3 car that was allowed to race by IMSA but would never be allowed by ACO.
