The first version of the mod will include both prototypes and GTs from the 2006 to 2008 seasons of the American Le Mans Series, the Le Mans Series, the Le Mans 24 Hours and the FIA GT. • stabiz

    Petrol 4 eva.

  • http://historicgt.8.forumer.com Hompe

    Just awesome

  • carbonfibre

OH NO! MY HEAD HAS JUST EXPLODED!

Nothing will top this for a long long while, not Shift, not anything. The last few seconds of the in-cockpit recording are bliss. It’s completely original, I’ve never heard the transmission sound (with the gear change flutter) that good before, not since the Madza rotary engine in SCC.

I could close my eyes and think I was at the 12 hours of Sebring. This is amazing!! I need this… NOW. :) I use my iPhone as an alarm clock in the morning and I think I just found the prefect wakeup track to use on it.

  • Howie47

Great readme, with pics of all the cars. question: what is a stint. As in the tyre wear? Also are we supposed to copy and paste the “Real Feal” information into the INI?

  • http://www.virtualr.net Montoya

A stint is a full fuel run from one pit stop to another…in sports cars usually between 45 and 60 minutes.

  • sanjabass

Tired to be teased.. So when it will be released?

    Uuuh, a rhyme :D

sanjabass: Tired to be teased.. So when it will be released?

Then we all would be very pleased!

because we all need to be appeased!…

  • mike

i was all excited when they released the readme file hoping it would be coming anytime…this just adds to the pain of more waiting but it sounds like it will be worth it.

  • http://simscreens.blogspot.com 6e66o

    Sounds absolutly fantastic.

Im getting a bit impatient though
nah, seriously .. looking forward to it!

  • scca1981

I agree.. Not one to complain but maybe the timing is what does it. rFc had the mod 95% done something like 2 months ago then the “readme” was a month ago. Everyone handles releases a little different though.

  • GeraArg

    The sounds are great!!!

    And release “soon”

Soon = in a range from 5 days to 47 years. :sd: :sd: :sd:
Anyway, it’s decision to the modders release it when they want, they did the job. :)

  • Jos

you can hear these sounds are professionally recorded, great job!

  • NightSt@lk3r

It could be sooner than 5 days, who knows

  • klo-che

Just one word on my own. A readme file as never never been a “hey the mod is released in 2 days!!!” file. Readme is used to inform people on the important informations regarding the mod, not to announce an upcoming release. We can diffuse the readme 6 month before the release if we want, it does not change anything. (hopefully it’s not the case).

  • AmericanTGMan

    NightSt@lk3r:
It could be sooner than 5 days, who knows

*Gets some rope, wood, and nails to provide some motivation towards a release in the next few days… *

In all seriousness, those sounds are orgasmic…

  • Sobby

Dear god those sounds are amazing, I feel like I’m there!

  • mjmueller

I really think we should stop teasing

  • http://www.syncro-racing.com Damo

    Gimmie gimmie gimmie!!

  • Howie47

    Damo: Gimmie gimmie gimmie!!

Don’t you guys know anything about getting modders to release their work?
Try this. “The SCC mod and the Série Internationale Du Mans 2.77 mod will never ever ever ever be surpassed by any modders ever ever. No one will ever prove me wrong!”

  • shakaku

Yikes    . Just wow.

  • ibyte_dk

Why on earth would you mix sounds from real cars with the sounds from the mod. Makes the sounds from the mod sound even more plastic like. Maybe I’ve donw to much of this sound and physics editing, but it is clear like a spring creek when it is real life engine sounds and when it is the actual game.

I think it is really uncool to give people false hope like this. Unless they also clearly hear the difference. But judging from the comments, not many can!

Only the speaker and public sounds are real, the others are the sounds recorded from the mod. Keep the faith

i will be delighted when this one will join my collection of GT mods. Great work so far.

100% of the car sounds you ear on the teaser are mod sound.

  • DevonK

I think I just had an eargasm… Stunning work. If the rest of the mod even gets close to this kind of excellence it’s going to take modding to a whole new level.

I assure you they are not!

The drop dead giveaway is the cars going by:
In all sims and computer games to date the sound systems do not emulate enviroment. There may be applied general effects, but the effects are not dynamicly generated by the 3D enviroment. As a result the sound fades in linear and fades out linear when a car drives by. This is highly unrealistic. Especially the Murcielago is a great example. You hardly hear the car approaching, but as soon as it is beside you the noice is trying to rip you ears off.

So, not only is there the normal dobler effect like most sims allready have. But the fade in and fade out of passing vehicles are never linear.

Listen to the clip again and now you will notice that at least half of all passing cars have a none-linear fade-in fade-out, which the game does not feature. So either these are recorded static passes played in the game while in the pits or they are added to the clip, to make it sound more realistic.

  • Chaz

A little bird told me sometime next month (September).

  • klo-che

The sounds are taken directly from the mod, how many times will we have to explain you it.

The mod is not released that the community start to complain. Hey have a break guys, you all lost what the word enjoy meaned. So enjoy.

I don’t care about all those things I don’t understand a f*ck off, the sounds are just awesome!! :sd:

  • Sobby

Why are people always so keen to nit pick and complain about a mod, rather than just appreciate the work that has gone into creating such a fantastic sounding mod…doubtless the rest of the mod will be the same.

Agreed – sounds great to my ears, a glorious mixture of rasps and rumbles…

  • http://simscreens.blogspot.com 6e66o

No one is complaining about the mod,
the accusation of using real sounds could also be considered as a compliment :sd:

I can assure you, you are 100% wrong, all car sounds in this clip were recorded from ingame.

I love how people comment when they don’t even have it. lol.
