Endurance Series Mod – GT Previews

Enduracers have released a bunch of new high resolution preview screenshots, showing the GT class of their Endurance Series Mod in action.

We´ll get a detailed view of the team’s brand new Porsche 997 GT3-RSR model as well as other GT machinery like the Aston Martin DBR9 and the Panoz Esperante.

Endurance Series will contain both prototypes and GTs from high profile sports car series like the American Le Mans Series, the FIA GT and the Le Mans 24 Hours.

Every preview I see of this mod makes me want it more.

It has quality written all over it.

Stop teasing you bar stewards

  • http://www.ajira-racing.com TeroD

    Love the 997 GT3 RSR! :o

Also I expect this mod to be one of the best ones around. Hope it is :)

  • stabiz

    Me like.

  • http://simracing.in.ua modbaraban

I haven’t seen the Saleen on previews for awhile now. Is it being remade or something?

The GTs for pack 1 are looking like:
    GT1 C6.R + DBR9
    GT2 996RSR + 997 RSR + Panoz + Spyker

    Correct me if I’m wrong.

  • ForzaBarca88

Any word on physics? Data accuracy, realfeel compatibility, etc……think its safe to say you guys have done an amazing job on the models looking at the previews though :ooo:

  • klo-che

The saleen has been improved indeed, and is coming just after in the SP1.

About the physics, it’s in the right line of the work made on the Epsilon Mod v1.2. Full data accuracy, compatibility with real ffb and leo ffb.

You will get complete informations about the features as soon as possible, together with the carlist wicth is a bit late :)

  • http://simracing.in.ua modbaraban

    Thanks for the info, klo-che!

What do you think about what I posted in the RFC forum?

    quote:
    <> …and that would be a shame.

  • http://simracing.in.ua modbaraban

oops! the quote got deleted. here it is:
” It’ll be great if you include an upgrade package with additional ballast to make every car really competative in its class. I suppose if the physics reflect real performance (im-)balance then online racers would aviod cars like Spyker or Epsilon. “

  • klo-che

Well this is an important point and has been discussed in the team. For the initial release it appears that all the classes are balanced, excepted P2 where we will make the C65 a bit faster then in real (and slow it later) in order not to fire this class. When the SP1 will come all the classes will have enough cars to get fights everywhere with real cars performances.

  • LensFlare

Epsilon was really spinning like a maniac, IMO. I hope it won’t be too much like it.

  • http://www.virtualr.net Montoya

I have to agree, the 1.2 version of the Epsilon was close to being undriveable for me.

I seriously doubt that LMPs are this hard to even keep on track, I don’t see how privateer drivers could cope with these cars in real life if they would.

  • phil23

I downloaded the Epsilon recently to see what to expect from this mod and after driving it I knew that The Endurance Series Mod was in safe hands.

The Epsilon handles like a dream but needs taming. I’m not one of the aliens out there but I can run the Ai close at 100% difficulty and I didn’t find the Epsilon too difficult to get up to speed.

  • klo-che

@ Montoya : really ? On the contrary on the v1.2 the tyres have been improved for more progressive behave, and so a bit “easier” to drive. Provide us some setups and we will check if it is ok.

  • http://www.virtualr.net Montoya

It’s quite a while since I last tried it but I had problems with the stock setup to begin with. The car would just easily spin out when just tipping the throttle.

Really weird because I loved how version 1.0 felt, I reviewed the initial version and everything was fine. But a few months later I tried version 1.2 and it was extremely hard to drive, harder than any other rFactor mod.

I guess I have to try it again when I have some free time…

  • klo-che

So wierd, it should be the contrary.

  • Iann

Can you tell me, on which track the picture of the Prospeed 997 is taken?
The bridges and the bumpy straight look interesting! Is this LeMans?

  • http://www.virtualr.net Montoya

That’s fictional Mills Metropark, part of rFactor’s stock content

  • DeDios

“I have to agree, the 1.2 version of the Epsilon was close to being undriveable for me”
same here, sorry..:( don’t take this an offense, but personally i prefer 1.0 version, was imho better about driveability; in 1.2 it’s really hard to drive at limit..i’m not talkin about “more realistic, less realistic”, are just my sensations..

  • mjmueller

Do not fear gentlemen. I to had trouble with the Epsilon, but remember this car is not one of the best handling cars on the track. I have tried every car ingame so far & I can assure you you will be happy. Our team updates physics constantly & they keep getting better. You will all love this mod. We are very proud of it.

    mj

  • DeDios

thanks for your reply,i’m shure will be a great mod

About Epsilon, i don’t know how feel real car, but, driving virtual version on Le Mans, it’s hard to drive on slow corners (but ,yes, it can depends setup you’re using)..anyway if real car it’s so hard to drive, no problem at all! we need to work a lot on setup

  • LensFlare

Note that the Epsilon was meant to be driven with Traction control enabled.

But even with it enabled, it was still painful for me and I uninstalled it.

It’s a pity because everything else was really cool (looks and sounds)

  • Serg Funke

i really love the epsilon. i think its one of the best mods for rfactor. the realfeel ffb feels with the thrustmaster f430 wheel the best. this mod will be great for sure.

montoya do you drive with the new trustmaster wheel or do you have another one? you have to change the ffb multi in the car settings to zero and some other little tweaks, then it really feel good to drive and you can make some powerslides.

  • mjmueller

    Hey lensflare:

you should email me at mjmueller69@wi.rr.com so I can give you some information.

    mj

  • LensFlare

    ?

What info? Something’s not in the official readme?

  • ForzaBarca88

Thanks for the info Klo-che, very much appreciated!

I really enjoyed the Epsilon mod 1.2 (never tried 1.0) even though the car is difficult to drive. But to me the physics felt about right, it would be much more managable with the physical forces in a real car rather than just the ffb that we have to rely on.

  • Klaas Jan

Can’t wait for this mod, especially after these nice screenshots. This mod will pull me out of iRacing back to rF for quite some time I hope! :sd:

  • Hybridesque

I tried Epsilon Euskadi 1.2 a while back and found it undriveable, but I’ve reloaded my PC and tried it again this weekend. I had to make sure RealFFB was set after buying the car.

The other thing was the MaxForceAtSteeringRack in RealFFB needs to be set to 6000 (reverse of the usual mods). I’m using a Logitech G25 btw.

I’ve found that this is easily the best handling mod I’ve come across. I’m just running Auto Shifting, Auto Clutch, TC on Low, ABS on Low and it’s great.

  • ThugAngel

this mod should be awesome! i had no problem with the Epsilon 1.2 at all, i think those of you thinking the mod’s undrivable need to learn how to set up the car

  • richiespeed

The models look really good indeed!

But physics…Real Date does not equal real physics, especially in rfactor. Anything less then a tonne in rf, Mini cooper or Truck, will have that weightless feeling. So you have to make the cars much heavier then real life, but adjust everything else to give real results :)

    I’m looking foward to this!
