T
hree weeks after the release of the Endurance Series mod for rFactor, Enduracers have released the matching templates for the cars in the first package.
The templates allow everyone to paint their own personal car, adding to the extensive choice of liveries already included in the mod.
The first version of Endurance Series has brought ten brand new car models to rFactor, including both Le Mans Prototypes and GTs in four classes. Endurance Series 1.0 can be downloaded here.

DXT3 is higher quality than DXT1. Also using DXT3 will avoid any issues the textures may have with users using lower texture settings in rFactor. DXT5 being highest quality is usually too large of a file for skins so its commonly reserved for window or transparent textures (which DXT3 can do also but DXT5 gives a smoother alpha and is best for windows).
Anyhow, nice to see these released. Will definitely do up a few.

These are great, my only problem is that the parts layer is the shading layer also, they should be separate so you can put decals or paint over the carbon fibre. Thanks.

Which little bird? I’d be very (pleasantly) surprised if the first service pack would be released so soon after the main download. The first *patch*, less so.

Since we haven’t even seen a single preview shot of any new cars it is extremely unlikely that any service pack for Endurance Series will be released in the next six months.
Keep in mind that even the finishing touches such as beta testing, release preparing and other tasks take up some weeks. Realisticly, I don’t expect a new SP to come out within the next eight months really… and that’s fine, quality takes time.

Thought as much.
Never mind, I’m fine with the waiting, there’s no question that it’ll be amazing when it does materialise. The 997 RSR will keep me occupied til then

Same here, I cant get enough of that 997. Everything about it is great. I have started driving the DBR9 now, so I am set for a long time with this mod.

Probably the bird was twitting about a 1.1 patch with fixes. That should be possible.
