Endurance Racing X – New Bayro E5 Preview Video

Following yesterday’s video, UnitedRacingDesigns has released another preview video of their Endurance Racing X payware mod for rFactor 2.

The video again shows the Bayro E5 GT-class car, this time lapping at Putnam Park.

Endurance Racing X will come with cars in three different classes, featuring both big and small prototypes as well as GT class, mimicking a successful international sports car racing series.

The cars will be sold in packs selling for less than five Euros, the team is also working on matching tracks for the mod. Users who don’t want to spend any money can look forward to a freebie as well.

So when BMW decides they finally had enough with this and drops the hammer and the sleeping giants are awoken what is next? Corporations don’t stop when they get momentum, they will end up trying to squash any type of modification available and other car manufacturers will follow suit.

Again, this is the community that can barely support iRacing without John Henry’s Billions of dollars behind it. Lets segment it more.

Why create fictional prototypes, then create a car that is not the car it actually is?

If that’s the case, why hasn’t the Ford motor company & BMW sued PiBoSo.

At the same time, Enduracers have not been allowed to release their Porsche cup pack as Porsche got involved and made legal threats.

Enduracers used the official Porsche name, and team liveries for their mod, PiBoSo doesn’t use any names, just the vehicle body shape.
I’m not saying I support or don’t support UnitedRacingDesigns, just pointing out why they would want to release mods based on real life vehicle models, if one can do it, why can’t they.

Porsche so far has been a one-off so maybe they had a specific reason for it other than what it seems to be.

Why not let URD worry about that? In the meantime I will be enjoying their work.

Remember Porsche was trying to do their own Sim with another corporation…that, it turned out, had stolen their models from another mod group. *rolleye*

I knew about the first bit…

I think you might be blowing things way out of proportion.

It’s like being charged for a mod will suddenly bring the end of the world. It won’t.

  • David BEHAL

Given that there is already plenty of excellent mods free of charge on rFactor i don’t see how a payware could have any success as good as it could be (and this point is still to be proven)
I don’t personally think iRacing “pay for all and everything” philosophy have it’s place on rfactor, at least i will never support that

It looks like a BMW to me.
