Enduracers Porsche GT3 Series – Teaser Video

Team EnduRacers have released a new teaser video of their Porsche GT3 Cup Series mod for rFactor.

The video takes us around the Norisring in Sean Edward’s Porsche 997 GT3 Cup car, one of countless liveries included in the mod.

The massive mod will include the 2010 & 2011 seasons of no less than five Porsche Cup series that use the 997 GT3 Cup model as the mod will feature the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup, Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland, Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain, Porsche Carrera Cup France and Porsche Carrera Cup Italy.

Adding to that, the team also plans to release cars from the 2012 & 2013 in additional packages later on. Furthermore, community painters will be given the chance to paint their own versions and the car will be added as GTC version to the Endurance Series mod as well.

Stunning really cant wait for this. Here comes my joint first best mod of the year :)

Is this all new stuff or an amalgamation of the past Porsche Cup / Mobil 1 mods ?

Never quite gelled with Enduracers personally but would like to give this a try.

  • Lemming77

    That’s a lot of smoke! :P

ATM i’m done with rF, but i really hope this mod will come for rF2 or AC too.

  • Ricoo

Yes please, a version for rFactor 2. :)

  • sebastian.saischowa

It remains the same series as the one from GSMF but fully scratch build to have the 2010-2012 Seasons. GSMF was 2007. That said it uses the meatier engine of the GT2 Porsche instead of the GT3 Cup. That means raised PS from 400 to 450, wider tyres and fresh shifting dynamics.
So all new in terms of creation but scheme is already present despite different seasons.

rFactor Has still a lot to offer whatever people are saying

    Great Work

Great work. Who could not love a Porsche in a sim. Sound is getting real nice to.

  • Ricoo

Yes but it would also be nice to have it in rFactor 2 too. I wonder why some disagree with that?

Amazing job as usual from Enduracers. What a quality work. Same for the Norisring!

  • http://racingrenders.com/ F1Racer

Brilliant, thanks for the reply. Well I may or may not gel with the physics but I know it’s going to be a quality mod regardless. I look forward to it !

  • http://racingrenders.com/ F1Racer

Completely agree. It’s like a car with low mileage. She may be old but there’s life in her yet :)

  • http://racingrenders.com/ F1Racer

I for one agree. Maybe rF2 is still early days and I know the modding side is a bit more complex than rF1. But I hope modders aren’t put off by it and can use the new features of rF2 to make their mods the best they can be.

Is the Norisring included in the mod?

Its a hard one, I don’t know if you follow the FPS mod side of things , but as games moved up in complexity we have had progressively fewer mods. Q1-Q2-Q3 , HL1 V source , Unreal 2k3 v UT3

Newer engins and higher quality + higher asset density can require to much time for it to be suted to weekend projects.

On the plus side when we do get a good mod with a FPS it tends to be very high quality because the people the do end up making them and finishing them are the cream of the crop.

I’m sure the same will likely apply to driving simulators.

I think moving into the future a large part of development in terms of what makes a game successfull will come down to the Tools provided as much as the core game.

That applies to developers as well as mod teams , In fact one of the main features you see in new engines like unreal 4 is the ability for coders to make changes and compile as the game is running , and for artists to make changes within the game engine using powerful but accessible scripting languages or simple to use editor interfaces.

rF2 is buggy as hell, and you don’t even know if AC would turn out that good, yet you already want the mod for it?

  • Ricoo

I have absolutely no problem with bugs in rFactor 2.

  • Ricoo

Maybe some rFactor 2 haters would fear it would become so wonderful that it would overshadow their favourite sim. lol

    But modders have.

It’s a complete redone from scratch mod (3D/2D/Physics/Sounds)

  • sebastian.saischowa

It will have to fill huge shoes as the GSMF Version had among the best tyre physics for any rF Mod, the way the wear came was very like the original series where you have the speeder that has problems at the end, the conservative that comes at the last laps and the mixed that places himself midfield all the way and can make promising result because of overpacing and crashing of the rest not minding if it’s in the early stages or the dying end phase of the race. Crucial Points for ES Version will be tyres and braking, that said you have to adopt a different technique if you don’t already know how to handle the GT2 Version present. Porsche’s RWD had be driven with throttle in between brakes and this Version has less of the negatives that came when you didn’t so it would be more forgiving in that end but the tyres aren’t that enduring like the ones that we are used in ES and the GTC planned is a mixtures of both endurance and sprint car, more of a endurance car made out of sprint series car.
Will be cool to see all the different country make series, the ALMS GTC and the Supercup and if not exhausted enough the Porsche World Cup with 100 of these on the Nürburgring at the same time in the rain :P

  • http://racingrenders.com/ F1Racer

Well you clearly know a lot more about the FPS modding environment than I do. :) I dunno if this is a good or bad thing right now. Can’t make my mind up.

  • http://racingrenders.com/ F1Racer

    Cool, thanks Daniel.

  • http://racingrenders.com/ F1Racer

I am very interested to see what you come up with. Best of luck with the mod.

  • http://twitter.com/bokuwahmz Ahmad

I agree and disagree, it would be great to see it in rF2 too, but fully developing and polishing a mod for public use for rF2 right now would be a waste of their time because many things will change within rF2 between now and Gold.

You’re too smart to even be in the same web as the rest of us!

  • yorch sincla

    Awesome work by the way.

And…now this is a stillborn project. Porsche AG shut it down.
