Dunlop Le Mans Painting Contest

Dunlop is looking for talented painters to design the Dunlop-based livery of the JMW Motorsport Ferrari F430 GT2 which will compete in this year’s Le Mans 24 Hours.

Painters have almost 22 days time to come up with a creative livery that incorporates the Dunlop sponsorship, fighting for the ultimate prize. The winning livery will be painted on the car and seen by a world-wide TV audience and over 180.000 spectators at this year’s edition of the world’s most important motor race.

All you have to do is visit the contest homepage, sign up and download the car template. The three best liveries will be chosen by a jury, a fourth one will be drawn by popular vote. The four winners will be getting a free trip to Le Mans were the winning livery will be unveiled in front of the world’s motorsport press.

Sounds tempting? Then head to the Dunlop homepage, start painting and with a little luck, a sim racer will be among the winners.

    Is this opened to United States entries as well? It only lists Germany, France, Spain, Portugal and the United Kingdom as participating countries.

    It’s very cool that sim community skinners might get their design on a REAL car. A just reward for their absurd amount of talent.

    You’re obviously not a skinner yourself. If you were, you would consider it a big reward and an honor to have your PC designed skin on a real race car, which will be seen by the world’s motorsport press. For me, that acomplishment would be HUGE.

    Also, I’d consider a free trip to Le Mans quite a big reward. :happy: And by the way, no one asked you to join in.

    Vkt, let me ask you, how old are you? 13? Because it really seems that way it EVERY thread that you comment on. To me it seems like you’re a teenage kid who’s just mad at the whole world… Stop it, really. It bothers not only me, but pretty much all the people who follow VirtualR.net, I’m sure.

    +2 Rasmus for me the biggest price would be the car which i could see at my own eyes competing in le mans the trip would be as bonus or something – keep in mind that this could be only start :grin: so i did it i signed and now i am thinking on new livery

    btw that guy Vkt doesn’t know what he is talking about :P

    A free trip to Le Mans and having a livery you designed, on undoubtedly one of the favourites for the GT2 class win, is enough reward me thinks.
