Team DTM for rFactor has released first renders of their DTM 1993 mod, showing the Alfa Romeo 155 model.
The mod will include the full 1993 DTM season, back when the German Touring Car series had almost nothing in common with today’s DTM. The series was made up of two classes, accommodating both factory efforts and privateers. In Class 1, the factory teams of Alfa and Mercedes battled head to head in extreme racing machines that were equipped with state of the art technology.
Class 2 allowed privateers to race a variety of cars, from BWM M3s to exotics like the Ford Mustang. The exciting package was wrapped up with a series schedule that incorporated regular road courses, street circuits and airfield tracks – Even including the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife.
To push their ambitious project forward, the team is looking for interested members to help out. If you have a soft spot for 90s DTM cars and have knowledge in terms of physics or texturing, please contact the team here.
