DRM Revival 3.0 – BMW 2002 Turbo Previews

The DRM Modding Team is working on a third version of their very popular DRM Revival Mod for rFactor.

After the 2.0 version added the Toyota Celica campaigned by Schnitzer Motorsport to the mod, the new version will bring another brand new car – The BMW 2002 Turbo.

Also built by Schnitzer, the 2002 Turbo will be the third BMW in the mod, joining the 320 and the M1 Turbo. You can check out plenty of previews of the car below.

In its heydey, the German Deutsche Rennsport Meisterschaft was one of the most popular national racing series that ever existed, featuring spectacular & powerful cars and legendary drivers like Hans Stuck, Klaus Ludwig, Hans Heyer, Rolf Stommelen & Bob Wollek.

    Very good news to wake up to… always nice to see a fantastic mod being given its due attention and being updated.

    Just out of curiosity, how does this compare to the other cars in the mod specs-wise? Is it closer to the 320 Turbo or more towards the M1/935 side of things, or somewhere in between?

    The 2002 Turbo just like the 320 Turbo was a Divison 2 car, M1 & 935 were Division 1.

    Oh yes ! More DRM goodness. So glad this mod is still being worked on. This is in my top 3 rF1 mods list. I hope we get to see this ported to rF2 in the future too.
    It’s hard to get any better than this !

    I still hope some modders will make a ISMA mod for rF2. Especially the Audi ISMA GTO of Hans Stuck. That was a beast.

    This is one of the best mods ever for any sim! :)

    Looking forward to the update! A conversion to either rF2 or most of all Assetto Corsa would be nothing short of stunning!! :)

    Cant wait for this. There work is mind blowing. Its a mod worth getting rF for if you dont own it. Its in my top 3 best mod of all time :D

    I wonder though, if it was ported to AC, if it would keep all the nuances of the physics and FFB that make DRM so good in rF1, not to mention the amazing engine sounds. rF2 would be the place to take it, I think. But hey, if they keep in on rF1, that’s fine with me. rF1 isn’t going anywhere soon off my PC.

    For quality and completeness, I would say CTDP-F12006 and HistorX. Although I find the overall grip in HistorX to be lacking. I think Power & Glory mod nailed that much better.

    As for which order they go in… that could change as much as my top 3 :)

    zakspeed escort.,that’s the last car that this mod need…the lotus europa zakspeed is also a great car for this mod.,I hope it wil be in rf2 or in this mod…but its still the ultimate mod for me.,
