Donington 2010 – Full Lap Video

The BBC has a new video of the Donington 2010 Grand Prix circuit in rFactor, showing us a complete lap around the planned circuit including narration.

When first info on the virtual version of the track surfaced, a planned public release of the track was mentioned. Until now, no further information on that has been released. Click the image below to get to the video.

    Looks better than the first video they showed us.

    It doesn’t take away too much of the original circuit which is a good thing. It’s still obviously Donington and the modern buildings and pits all look good to, so I’m more confident now that we’ll have a decent GP circuit there.

    Still would of prefered to see Silverstone get the big money treatment though :sad:

    Whats wrong with that? chicanes are awful.

    As for Silverstone, too flat, pretty boring. Best circuits in the UK are Brands and Cadwell. And I hope no major motorsport event like F1 gets anywhere near them. Would ruin it.

    They kept the best parts but the section replacing the esses, Melbourne and Goddards, looks boring. I love Donington and can’t wait to drive this new version.

    its cool they used rfactor to promote the new track changes.. this is a small but good step for teh sim community .

    Why did they have to use a bad driver and then put tons of AI in front to block the view of the track?

    Otherwise, it’s great to see rFactor being used for this kind of thing.

    Footari, Silverstone is an amazing track, just ask the drivers of anything there, 90% will agree. I agree with you though, Brands is better.

    What i’m worried about is the facilities. I went to donington this yearfor the moto gp and it is so unready,there is so much work to be done.

    Silverstone is a proven facility that everyone there enjoys, i went there 3 times last year. Donington is so much smaller it can’t hold the capacity crowd that silvestone can even wih exapansions, It’s going to be packed.

    Looks alright, still no Silverstone though. Dunno about the 09 cars but certainly looks like overtaking would be tough here with the f1 cars of recent years.
