DiRT 3 – System Requirements & Demo News

Codemasters have announced the minium system requirements of their upcoming DiRT 3 rally title that is due to hit the shelves on May 24.

Given that DiRT 3 is shaping up to be one of the best-looking PC racing titles right now, a fairly powerful system will be required to enjoy the title in full detail as you can see below.

Minimum System Requirements

OS: WinXP, Vista or Win7
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 2,8 GHz, Intel Pentium D 2.8 GHz
HDD: 15 GByte
Gfx Card: AMD Radeon HD 2000 256 MB, Geforce 8000 Series 256 MB

Recommended System Requirements

DirectX 11
OS: Vista or Win7
CPU: AMD Phenom II or Intel Core i7
Gfx Card: AMD Radeon HD 6000 Series

With the release closing in quickly, Codemasters have announced that there will be no demo version of the title prior to the store release. Codemasters states that all available resources are currently focused on getting the title ready for release, a post-release demo has not been explicitly ruled out though.

Using the trusted EGO-engine, DiRT 3 will be released on May 24 for the PC and consoles, following the successful second edition of the franchise that sold over 1.7 million copies. The title will feature over 50 cars that can be raced on over 100 stages that make use of a dynamic weather system including snow and ice.
