Culmone67 Le Mans Update – Released

Following his new textures for Rouen les Essarts, Culmone67 has released a new texture pack for another Virtua_LM track: Le Mans 1972-1986.

Even though the Rouen update was controversial discussed whether or not Virtua_LM’s fantastic tracks even need texture updates, people should have the freedom to choose – So give this update a try if you like the preview shots.

Make sure to have Le Mans 1972-1986 installed to use this update!

    Agreed – out of the hundreds of tracks currently available for rFactor, VirtuaLM’s are possibly the three least in need of a texture update…

    Yep. There are so many tracks out there that could use an update it seems like an utter waste of time to do one of the most gorgeous tracks out there.

    To a certain point i agree with above, but Culmone has his own interruption of graphic looks, and he wants to express that, and what he has done on other tracks has been outstanding, and he’s getting better everyday, so everyone has a choice to try, keep if you like, if not throw it away, i tend to have the same version tracks on 3 different sims, so on each version i use a different graphics update, gives variation..

    I don’t think anybody should be annoyed by the choice but I still consider the update useless, even more than the previous one. It’s not better, plain simple. There are countless tracks that would gain a decent look with some new textures.

    Once again, Virtua_LM neither supports nor endorses this “update” and wishes that he would find someone elses work to “enhance” such as one of the many conversions from older games. I am certain that there are some track authors who would appreciate an update to their textures. Virtua_LM does not.

    Well this is similar if someone “updates” Monalisa “textures”, because he sees it differently :sd:

    I respect culmone’s work, but even if those textures would be better, I wouldn’t install them. VirtuaLM has put alot of effort in their tracks, which really require no updates. They are just like great masterpieces in various art, if someone tries to “correct” them…its errm… not right thing to do – destroying original identity of a masterpiece.
