CTDP F1 2009 – First Brawn GP Previews

Following previews of the Ferrari, Mclaren and Williams, CTDP now gives us a first look at the Brawn GP BGP01 model for their F1 2009 rFactor 2 mod.

Powered by a Mercedes-Benz engine and driven by Jenson Button & Rubens Barrichello, the BGP01 is the dominant car of the 2009 F1 season. Development of the car started way back in 2008, the result catapulted the former Honda F1 team from the back of the grid into a championship-leading position.

F1 2009 will be bringing all cars and drivers of the 2009 Formula One season to the upcoming rFactor 2 simulation, following CTDP’s famed F1 2006 mod for rFactor.

Why are there no updates on the 1994 mod? We need that mod, it’s been put forward for years. Now let 09 wait.

Correctly models for 2009 cars…finally :happyevil: Out of all the cars, the Brawn is the best looking imho.

    Finally?

FSONE 09′s models look pretty damn accurate to me. Infact, ironically, this (CTDP’s) Brawn front wing is slightly inaccurate.

They already write it many times: team is split into part, one which works on 1994 mod and the other that works on 2009, so there won’t be any interferences among those mods.

Of course there is. If the team is split then there’s less people working on the 94 mod. And why are you talking about working? It’s pretty clear they are not working on it (not with considerable effort anyways) because of the lack of updates.

You could’t be more wrong commodore. We splitted the team because there was not work to do on 94 for the whole team  . And the fact that we don’t show anything means nothing, except that we don’t want to, every thought about that?

“FSONE 09’s models look pretty damn accurate to me.” <- Really? Look again, FSOne’s McLaren MP4-24 looks far from accurate to me and to be honest I think they won’t even improve it anymore.

I’m not bashing FSOne but I’ve seen it before that they won’t change the models even if there are some inaccurate parts

“I’m not bashing FSOne but I’ve seen it before that they won’t change the models even if there are some inaccurate parts”

Their MP4-24, like the rest of their cars, is based on pre/early season. Their models are about as accurate as you’re going to get given the time spent on the mod, ie, 10 months give or a take a couple, (modelling only being a portion of that time), and not 2 years, ala CTDP 06. (which couldn’t be more accurate, testement to the time spent on it)

With that in mind, FSONE 09 is impressivly accurate, to find inaccuracies, you really have to be anal about it and go over it with a fine tooth comb, which frankly, is unnecessary. I’d rather play a mod which to the naked eye, is pretty spot on, than wait an extra 12-15 months for a mod which will only differ, visually, on a minute scale, which really only effects someone who probably spends more time looking at the cars than driving the mod.

The reason i said CTDP’s Brawn’ front wing is a bit innaccurate, is because they will be spending alot longer on their mod than FSONE (if we are to believe its due out when rfactor 2 comes out), so little anal things can be iron’d out.
