CTDP’s Formula One 2006 has gotten lots of praise for possibly being the best Formula One mod for rFactor ever made. But how does it stack up against reality?
Judge for yourself by watching Giuseppe Pellegrino’s excellent comparison video as Michael Schumacher takes us around Monza in both CTDP F1 2006 and in real life.

Look at the cockpit. The angles look wrong by the wheel.

That’s in all F1 mods, so I think it’s a problem with rFactor.

Pretty good effort by CTDP, although I don’t think it’s perfect. And despite it being a pretty crap era of F1, it’s a pretty good mod.
But man I hate the sound of the traction control kicking in. Ugly.
As for wheel movement, in replays the wheel movement is pretty limited. In replays it doesn’t relate to how far the wheel moves when actually driving, never mind real life

The camera problems (like everything seeming too thin and far away) is caused by rfactor not having a fisheye effect lense which makes everything feel and look closer.
