CTDP has posted previews of the cockpits included in their upcoming Formula One 2006 mod for rFactor. The only car missing is the Renault as the CTDP crew is still busy finishing it.
While everybody expects great quality from CTDP, it’s the small things that show how much time was spent on details. Did you notice that the steering wheels sport the correct track map (in this case Interlagos)?
Like always, the best place to stay up to date on CTDP’s progress is their official dev-blog.

The FOV of the cockpit shots is WAY too extreme. I wonder which human sees his environment in that way?

The FOV is to high, F1 drivers are sitting deeper in their cockpits. wich you can see here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WCsiXvn50d8

@ApeX
I don’t think that they are sitting so deep. It’s the driver. He’s relativly small (maybe the Alfonso dwarf
). There’s not plenty of room and not much adjustments for the pedals in the front->back direction, because otherwise they hit the front suspension.
Look at Alex Wurz (1,86m) last year. It looks like he’s sitting on one of his mechanics.
Apart from that you could adjust the driver height in rF to your needs.
