As long as this mod does NOT include the car number 2 that raced the first 3 races of the 1994 season this will be a huge mod! BUT if it includes that car which I’m talking about CTDP will loose a lot of credibility and respect plus the fact the mod WILL fail huge!

I hope all driver changes of this season will be included. Imho this mod should be a work of reference about this tragical AND epic season, like the other CTDP-Mods.
That`s why I am not seeing any reason why Ratzenberger and Senna should not be included.

Why shouldn’t those car not be implemented in the mod? It would be an honour for these wonderful pilots! CTDP is the best modding team! Simple as that!

CTDP is a well known and established Modding Team they don’t need this kind of low blow to make their mods talked about!
If they want to honor the life of the driver who raced the first 3 races of the 1994 season and his car they can dedicate this mod to his memory or even recreate any of his world title winning cars or even his first car in F1 which still hasn’t be release to this date! But by adding the driver and the car raced in the first 3 races of that season will bring big questions on CTDP integrity as a modding team.
If they go on and release the 1994 with that included CTDP will be trying to take advantage of maybe the most tragic moment in motor racing and that alone will be a disgrace to the community.
Why is the 1994 season so important? Yes for it was the turning point in F1 because of what happened in Imola! I’m a Brazilian and we will NOT support this and hopefully all the ones who love motor racing will do the same but I still believe CDTP won’t include that!

I think you have the wrong approach in this matter this isn’t an ordinary mod or an ordinary F1 season and your approach to it is very simplistic. I don’t know how old you are but if you were a fan of F1 back in the 80s and early 90s you would understand. Most of pos-Schumi era F1 fans may not understand!

I have no idea why you think CTDP would lose (or ‘loose’ as you put it) respect or credibility.
Maybe in your mind but I seriously doubt you’re in the majority.
Senna should be included despite what happened. He was a signed up driver for that season and it would give people the chance to play a season of 1994 as if the accident didn’t happen.
I would be disappointed if there was no Senna in a 1994 mod. I think that would be a mistake.

I can tell you now, I would have no qualms about choosing the Senna car and racing at Imola. I am able to separate real life from fantasy.

hi F1Race I read your comments and I like the way you approach matters! I won’t make this into trash talk from my part so this will be my last comment in this matter.

My prior posts basically answer your question I respect others opinion as everyone is entitled to their opinions that’s mine and of many others even if they don’t shout it loud here at virtualr.net! It would be unethical from CDTP to say the least!

No thats fine. Your opinion is just as valid as mine or anyone elses. As a Brazilian I can understand and even sympathise with your opinion.

To me, Senna was the best driver of his generation and a total legend. I have a photo of him in the Williams on a wall in my house and my mouse-mat which is 14 years old (and still in great condition btw ) is a pic of Senna from my limited edition book ‘Portrait of a Racing Legend).
I, like millions of others, was devastated with what happened on May 1st 1994 but I would be quite disappointed if he was excluded from the 1994 mod because its like saying Ayrton never happened that year. Like we’re brushing him aside because of what happened.
Can I assume you don’t want Ratzenberger included either ?
No-one has mentioned him.
If CTDP are doing a complete mod, and lets face it they are pretty well known for their attention to detail, I don’t see how they can exclude Ayrton or Roland.

I would miss not having them there. After all it is only a virtual world we play in and I don’t look at the inclusion of Senna in the mod as ‘taking advantage’. I don’t see it like that at all. It’s simply depicting more accurately how things were when the season opened.
It is accuracy and realism us sim racers all strive for isn’t it ? We can’t chicken out now.

felipe, you’re being a hypocrite… It’s not okay to include Senna in your opinion, then what about Roland??? If you think including Senna in a recreation mod of 94 is disrepectful, then take a look at yourself. You’re being highly disrespectful towards Roland. You know, he died too just like Senna did. Differential treatment is really, really bad thing to do in this case.

I have been an F1 fan since the age of 6(i’m now nearly 30) and I would find it disrespectfull not to include both these drivers.CTDP would not be taking advantage in anyway if they included them, if they didnt include the drivers or their cars then they can’t really say it was a true 1994 mod as it wouldnt be true to life. I think the families of both driver’s are/would be hounerd that their sons live on in the virtual world. As for the mod itself I have no doubt that this will be just as good as all other CTDP mods, look forward to the with great excitment

Bjorn, I don’t think felipe left out Roland deliberately. Obviously being Brazilian, Senna is the driver that concerns him.

Personally, I believe as a representation of a real season it should be historicaly accurate. That should include the cars of Senna & Ratzenburger. Really if you look at the driver list on wikipedia, there were many drivers in those days that drove a few races and were replaced, they ‘should’ be included but I doubt it will happen, or that any one would notice or even care!

CTDP didnt have Montoya in the 06 mod, so I would guess they will limit the driver changes.
